Each: Globular socket with turned downleaf-and-dart rim; knopped and baluster shaft on domed foot mounted to shaped square base with applied leaf rim and splayed corner paw supports. Dentil, diaper, pointille, guilloche, and gadrooned ornament. Marked. Very good condition with deep patina.

Silberiris glass vase by historic Loetz with engraved silver overlay. Globular with pinched shoulder and ruffled turned-down quatrefoil rim. On front overlay in form of loose and fluid blooms on entwined and whiplash stems. Back plain. Glass iridescent yellow, green, blue, and purple. Shimmering turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau. Pontil mark. Excellent condition with nice patina.

Pretty Edwardian sterling silver picture frame. Made by Mauser in New York, ca 1900. Rectangular window and wide border engraved with scrollwork, foliage, and pendant bow-tied flowers. At bottom are 2 torches, a motif rich in metaphorical possibilities. Top has shaped cartouche (vacant). With glass, silk lining, and velvet back and hinged support. For portrait (vertical) display. Original eighteenth century Chelsea Seal in the form of a grotesque figure of a black masked man with 3 cornered ("tri-corn") hat. The tri-cornered hat was a popular hat worn in the 18th century by both aristocracy and commoners, as it was designed to better reveal one's highly fashionable wig. Our male figure is in black breeches, standing on a white base with the motto "Tou jour gay" ("always happy")...

American Colonial sterling silver bowl. Made by Tiffany in New York, ca 1920. Bowl has curved sides and straight circular foot. Spare historic design that works equally well in Modern interiors. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 19750 (first produced in 1920), and director’s letter m as well as phrase: “Reproduction / Original by / Joseph Conyers / Boston / about 1700”. Very good condition.
