Choice large faiance Tankard /Stein with German pewtermarks of a castle /towers and unreadable date, later 18th. century.
Fine tin glazed hand painted finish over a white glaze and it's painted with a leaping stag in a landscape with trees. It's pewter mounted hinged top has a reeded ball thumb-piece. And the base with a fine pewter mount as well. The pewter contemporay and original to bthe Stein.

The plate has 6 wells with salt compartment in the center. The decorations are a factory transfer that is hand colored. The ground color is pale green. An assortment of sea creatures and plant life are scattered around the surface of the plate. The colors are vivid and the shape is interesting.

Delightful Victorian sterling silver rattle. Made by WH Collins & Co. in Birmingham in 1897. Kitty stands stiffly in snug fitting jacket and trousers. Only the tail is free to flick back and forth. A funny depiction of feline ill grace. A bit of a sour puss, but endearing nonetheless. Mother of pearl handle. Fully marked. Good condition.
