Circa early 1800's copper Dutch coal bucket with tight fitting lid and brass claw feet. These canisters were used for remaining hot coals. The lid fit tightly; thus, lacking oxygen the coals were extinguished. Measures about 16.5 inches high. Excellent antique condition.

This porcelain basket or nut dish was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory in the 1890s. It has the red orb and blue scepter markings. The basket measures 4 1/2 inches long, 3 1/4 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep. The basket is delicately reticulated and has molded rosettes around the border. A Mt. Washington scalloped rim bowl decorated with orchids. The 3 3/4 inch diameter, 2 3/4 inch tall satin finish bowl has subtle diagonal ribs and a polished pontil mark. The color shades from pale lavender on the flared rim to colorless at the bottom. The coloration appears similar to the bowl shown in plate 10-17 on page 243 in Wilson’s “Mt Washington & Pairpoint Glass” and the decoration matches that on the sugar shaker in plate 10-18 of the same book.

This porcelain box was produced in Germany by Meissen in the late 19th century. It has first quality crossed swords on the bottom. The box measures 4 1/2” long, 3” wide and 2 1/2” deep, The lid had a finely hand painted bull finch bir perched in a blue berry branch. The coloring is vibrant and the style realistic. Little flying insects dot the bottom half of the box. The rims are trimmed with gold. Condition: Very slight wear to gilding on edge. There are no other defects.
