Our keeper ring once had hallmarks but they are worn off, so we are estimating this ring to be from the late 1890's. Our ring has plaited gold work on the underside, a work of art of itself. A "Keeper" ring is a snug fitting ring worn to prevent the loss of a more valuable ring by keeping the larger ring from sliding off. Keeper rings were also known as magic, or illusion rings, because of the illusion created by rotating the band causing it to appear to widen, to narrow, then to widen again...

Victorian Forget Me Not ring 15K set with six turquoise stones in a radial pattern, 3 supporting turquoises on each side and a diamond at center. The flower literally means “Forget me not” and the small rose diamond in the centre signifies eternal love. The band is ornately carved to enhance the delicacy of the ring. The ring no longer has hair behind crystal back but few examples have survived with this intact. The ring dates to C1880 and is a size 8.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Helena Wolfsohn Dresden in the 1880s. The shape of the set is quatrefoil. It is decorated with alternating panels of flowers and landscape scenes with lovers in gardens. Ornate gilding trims the rims and separates the panels. All the decoration is painstakingly hand painted in the Meissen style. Condition: Excellent

Victorian watch chains were worn by women, as well as men, to hang a watch, which would snap into the end of a long chain and tuck into a pocket or a belt at the waist. An antique Unger Bros sterling silver stamp safe or case circa 1890. This scarce late Victorian era 1-7/8" x 1-3/8" American sterling silver stamp safe has a lovely floral repouse design. A Victorian silver plate rolltop butter dish or server in the Aesthetic style from the 1880s. This antique beauty was made by Meriden and it has all of the hallmarks of quality and Victorian style and mechanical complexity. It has a pedestal base, a handle with floral decoration, high relief borders and a roll top with a pressed floral design. C1860 sterling silver pendeloque earrings, over three inches long, make a statement no matter the occasion. The silver earrings have a thin fluted silver band wrapped round and round culminating in a small finial at the bottom. The thin silver fluted band is repeated on the top of the earring in 3 offset curves. These earrings are surprisingly light. The butterfly backs help the earrings fit securely on the ear (hopefully) never to be lost!

his is an original nineteenth century sterling watch chain with a substantial square shaped link called a Venetian or box link. Closeup photos reveal the interesting interlocking pattern of the links. A great deal of ingenuity went into making chains, and there is nothing like an original long Victorian watch chain that has never been chopped up into shorter chains, but retains its original length. Lovely 18K five stone opal ring with five perfect blue-tinged translucent Australian opals set in an embellished gold setting. Eight tiny diamonds nest between the opals. The ring is hallmarked Sheffield and dates to 1870. This is the opal ring you have been looking for. It is a size 8 3/4.

Authentic Murphy family crest ring, complete with the motto and crest, all artfully carved in bloodstone (bloodstone is a dark green variety of chalcedony with red specks). This majolica jardinière was produced in Europe in the late 19th century. There are no identifying marks. The piece is 10 inches high and 9 inches in diameter. It stands on three feet. The body of the jardinière is mottled brown. It has an incredible amount of hand craftsmanship in its manufacture. Leaves are fashioned so that they surround the opening of the jardinière. The rim of the piece is ruffled and crimped. The flowers and leaves on the front are all hand crafted and applied...

Wonderful antique silver cuff with rose gold flowers and arches and yellow leaves with etched tendrils in between. Silver jewelry was made to appeal to the "everyman" in society and after the Silver Jubilee in the later part of the 1800's silver jewelry pieces like our cuff bracelet was made in abundance, but no two pieces were alike and each had its own unique design. This antique cuff bracelet is 7 ½ inches in circumference and is 1 inches wide. It fits a small to medium sized wrist.

Elegant 19th C. chocolate or demitasse coffee pot by Shreve & Co. Measures 10 5/8" tall and 7 3/4" wide (including spout and handle). There are two ivory insets in the beautiful elongated handle. One side has an engraved stag's head. Marks on base include an "S" on each side of a bell, "Shreve & Co., Sterling, San Francisco". On close inspection, I noticed a small dent on the underside of the spout (near top). Otherwise, excellent condition, inside and out. Circa 1890.
