Beautiful set of six sterling silver seafood forks in terrific Art Nouveau pattern by Joseph Seymour. Each piece is covered from the tip of the handle to the very beginnings of the tines with curves and stylized chrysanthemum-like blossoms in the Japonaise style. Really nice early pantry box with a label on the lid and on the front. Both labels read Raisins and it written in nice old sepia ink. The box in in fine crisp condition with nice old patina, mellow honey brown color and hand made nails. The box has a Shaker quality to it but the world made these boxes also so I can't say for sure that it is. It is 8 1/4" across the top and 4 1/4" tall and is circa 1830-40. A very fine and rare antique glass paperweight by Pairpoint. There sphere encloses a translucent red and opaque white double twist within a cloud of controlled bubbles. The foot is engraved in a design known as "Pattern No. 220". Pairpoint called this design "Veneti" and used it to produce candlesticks, compotes, vases and stemware. A fine mid-19th century pressed glass paperweight in the form of a recumbent lion resting on an opaque glass base. The lion is beautifully detailed and finished in a frosted surface. This lion is similar to one produced by Gillinder for the 1876 Centennial Exposition, but it is much more finely made. The underside of the black base is impressed “490”.
