Austrian Rococo silver candle snuffer, 1827. Hinged with flower-head mount and flat vertical blade that fits into rectangular box with curved and lobed top. Ring handles on s-scroll mounts. This is a silky smooth gorgeous original French watch chain. Silky smooth about the neck, it has a wonderful texture as only 18K gold has. There is a French eagle's head on the clasp showing its French provenance.

A wonderful example of a creamware dish made by Sewell and Donkin of Newcastle (St. Anthony's until 1819). The painted central scene shows a dying patient receiving his unction above the motto "T Oliesel" (Last Rites), and is surrounded with a colorful floral border. The reverse of the dish has the partial impressed manufacturer's name.
