Showing the whimsy that exemplifies good American folk art, this watercolor double portrait depicts a young man and woman who are clearly siblings. This banneret weather vane, found in upstate New York, is constructed of sheet and wrought iron, and has an incredible presence and visual impact. Featuring a flag with a central cut-out, scrollwork on either side of the flag, and an ornate three dimensional flower blossom at the end, it exemplifies the whimsy that one looks for in great items of folk art.

The vane has a wonderful weathered and rough brown surface, and is in overall excellent condition...

This sterling silver napkin ring measures 1/2" high, 1 1/2" in diameter and weighs 1/2 ounce.

The center cartouche is monogrammed "Fred W. Glantz".

Very pretty hand chased sterling basket by Whiting Mfg. Co. Basket measures 3 3/4" wide and 2 3/8" tall ( excluding the handle). This Aesthetic Movement basket has a lovely detailed foliate motif (morning glory?), a fluted rim, and a gilded interior. The twisted handle is attached to a beautiful curved silver application and rests on the side of the basket. There is a monogram on the back. Circa 1870. Excellent condition.

An English lead glass of balustroid form. The bowl is a rounded funnel type, while the plain stem features an annular shoulder knop. Conical folded foot with rough, snapped pontil. 6 1/4 inches in height, with a bowl diameter of 2 inches and a foot diameter of 2 3/4 inches.

An extremely fine baluster wine glass of beautiful proportions and lead composition. The flared bell bowl with an air tear in its base sits atop a stem with a medial flattened ball knop. Strong domed with rough, snapped pontil. Height 6 inches, bowl diameter 2 1/2 inches, foot diameter 3 inches. Superb condition.

19th century rare and good quality ½ liter ceramic beer stein made by Matthias Girmscheid with incised mark on the bottom which look like a castle along with numbers 76, 7, 5 and painted and incised 3, as can be seen on the picture...

A Danish Arts & Crafts pedestal silver plated fruit or centerpiece bowl circa 1900. This well made bowl has a nice floral design and it stands 5-1/8" high; it measures 8-7/8" across and it has the ENERET mark (for registered design), the Danish silverplate mark and an unidentified DFA makers mark...

Antique 17th century Tudor ceramic green glazed Wine Jug or Beer Pitcher of baluster form with a slightly averted rim and curved handle. CONDITION: in good condition considering its age and usage, with nice patina, except for chips on the rim. MEASUREMENTS: Height: 22.5 cm (8 7/8 in)

Victorian Umbrella Handle, late 1800's. DETAILS: The handle is made of rolled gold with ornate curved floral scroll patterns, center of handle is mother of pearl.
CONDITION: Good, there are no cracks or chips on mother of pearl; gold has some very small dents, nice age patina.
MEASUREMENTS: Handle measures 30 cm (11 ¾ inches) long.

A Large Ironstone Oval Well and Tree Platter by John Ridgway, Scalloped Edge. Hand Painted Polychrome Floral Decoration. Dimensions; 19" long x 16" wide x 2.5" high; weight 7.5 lbs. Stamped on back "Imperial Stone China" over a coat of arms with "IR" (for John Ridgway) in the ribbon. Circa 1830-1841. Some slight wear on the legs, but overall in excellent condition.

The vase is entirely hand blown, shows the traces of hand marvering, and has a large oblong bubble on one side about two inches above the bottom. The deeply concave base has a rough pontil and a basal ring showing the expected wear. Hyacinth vases, sometimes called tuplip vases or bulb vases, were used to force flowering bulbs for wintertime blooms indoors...

Gorham Sterling Silver Sauce or Gravy Ladle in the "Old Baronial" Pattern. Circa 1898 and 6" in length. The monogram is ES.

A fine boxed set of 12 sterling silver demitasse spoons in Gorham's 1896 "Maryland" pattern. The fronts of the handles are decorated scrolls, shells and pendant bouquets, while the backs are accented with simple scrolling and a shell motif near the bowls. The bowls are parcel gilt. This is a particularly lovely pattern--ornate, but not over the top. The spoons are presented in their original fitted box, the inside lid of which is marked with the logo of Gorham's New York City retail store...

This Victorian Staffordshire gilt white seated spaniel was made circa 1860-1890. Black nose,whiskers and eye detailing, yellow eyes. Vent hole to the reverse, good creamy glaze.

No restoration, no cracks. 9 1/2" high. gilt severely rubbed.
