Finely potted blue and white Chinese export Canton handleless sugar bowl with minute, barely discernible firing flaws. About 5-1/2" W x 5-5/8" H. No chips, frits, hairlines or repairs. Sugar bowls with braided handles were harder to make and morphed into the later handleless ones, c. 1880-1910. Described as "rare" by the Schiffers in CHINESE EXPORT PORCELAIN, c. 1975. DESCRIPTION: 800 silver plaque over wood icon depicts Madonna and child, the faces are enamled while the body features in a silver filigree overlay with both figures wearing elaborate garments and crowns. Engraved with writing Marked "800", from first quarter of 20th century. Size; Height of icon is 10 inches with length of 8.5 inches, no condition issues.

A very fine Nailsea-Stourbridge green bottle glass paperweight with a foiled flower pot design. A large central petunia-type flower arises on a slender stem from the well-formed pot, and is surrounded with two additional circlets of smaller flowers, four to each layer. This example is particularly nice with a good, clear gather of glass and a fine shape. The bottom has the rough pontil.

This set of 6 porcelain fish plates was produced in England by Bodley in the 1870s. They are signed J. Birbeck, renowned porcelain painter who worked for many English factories during the 19th and 20th centuries. They measure 9 1/4 inches in diameter. Each plate features a realistically hand painted fish that is named on the back of the plate. The colors are bright and the painting is incredibly detailed. They are wonderful for use or display...

Six footed little cups, tasses à glace / sorbet or ice cream cups in the model used by Sèvres from c 1750 up till around 1800. Because of their sparse decoration the cups go well with more richly decorated porcelain. Slight variation in the gilt and molding of the handles, and in height: four of the cups "2 ½ / 6.3 cm and two 6.5 cm. All probably from around 1780. Marks: LL interlaced - four in over-glaze blue, one in red under crown and with LF and one in gold with HP...

C1890 60 inch long original full length French watch chain features lovely handcrafted filigree elements with its traditional links and filigree circles within the links. The chain can be worn doubled or tripled and with a pendant attached. An 18K French chain is a must for every woman's jewelry wardrobe! The hallmarks consist of a French eagle head (18K), bigorne marks, and a goldsmith's mark. The hallmarks are located on the ring that attaches to the clasp. The chain weighs 50 grams.

Exceptionally fine Edwardian tortoishell letter box decorated with gold pique. The serpentine front is inlaid in a pattern of floral swags flanking a center wreath. The curved top has a matching wreath and swags as well as songbirds. The gold has a beautiful rose tint that contrasts nicely with the rich golden-brown of the tortoise, and the surfaces are intricately engraved to enhance the appearance...

A rare pale green Dutch or German roemer with a large cup bowl above a wide hollow stem flaring out to a folded foot. Immediately beneath the bowl is an applied milled collar above a section with applied strawberry prunts, below which is another collar.

This huge example is 8" tall, with a bowl diameter of 5" and a foot diameter of 4 1/2"...

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Altrohlau, Bohemia, now the Stara Role, Czech Republic, by the Moritz Zdekauer Porcelain Factory around 1908. The saucer has a diameter of 5 ¾ inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The set has a unique 6 sided shape. It is hand gilded. Companies such as Rosenthal and Lamm Dresden have created similar designs. Dinner plate in Sevres pattern but probably Minton c. 1850

A soft paste porcelain dinner plate unmarked, but probably Minton. In the “feuille de choux” pattern with hand painted flowers, blue accents and heavy gilding. These knock offs of 18th century Sevres were popular from the mid 19th century (c.1850) onwards and Minton made many of the very good ones. 9 ½ inches (24 cm) diameter.

Sumptuous Victorian Classical sterling silver serving dish. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Rectangular well and scrolling, asymmetrical turned-down rim; bracket-shaped ends with leaf-mounted scroll handles, and corner fruiting grapevine supports. Well has acid-etched leafing scrollwork and flower baskets. Sides have embossed and stippled lobing and corner volute scrolls, and applied cherubs brandishing arrows and flower baskets and frolicking together within the bounds of decency. Well and ...
