This chrome and wood kettle on a stand was produced in Meridan, Connecticut by Manning and Bowman with a patent date of 1904. The kettle and stand together are 12 1/2 inches high. The kettle, from spout to end is 11 inches. The kettle has a rosewood handle and knob. There is a rosewood fitting in the base of the stand which holds an alcohol burner to keep the kettle hot. The paper label from the manufacturer is still intact...

Our Victorian silver arrow brooch is handcrafted with a high degree of skill insuring the stone is perfectly and painstakingly carved to fit its mount. The warm colors of the Scottish agate and the matte finish all combine to make this a wonderful brooch. The arrow was an important Victorian motif representing protection from danger; thus the arrow symbolized maintaining and protecting life...

Offered is this beautiful and rare, hand-painted (artist-signed), iridescent bronze glass vase, made most likely by Thomas Webb of Stourbridge, England, around 1900. The vase is 11 1/4 inches (21,5 cm) tall and 4 1/2 inches (11,5 cm) wide. Except for a small rim-chip (see last picture), the vase is in very good condition. Unsigned - probably made by Thomas Webb (based on the bronze-glass used in the vase).

This porcelain parasol handle was produced in Germany by a Dresden manufacturer in the late 19th century. It is unmarked but the workmanship is definitely from Dresden. It is 5 1/2 inches long and the knob is 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The ground color is cobalt blue. The knob has a scene of lovers in a garden inside a cartouche of ornate raised gilding. The rest of the knob is covered with gilded swirls and flourishes. The stem has gilded cartouches containing tiny cherubs...

A charming rural scene, embroidered and painted on silk. Excellent condition with period frame. 15" by 12 1/2"

An unusual foil, or tinsel, painting depicting two birds hovering over a large flowering plant. The painting is done basically in tones of taupe and green. The frame is period and is most likely original. The back is sealed with paper that appears to have been a student's calligraphy practice.

Condition is very good, with some very minor paint separation at some points on the edges. The grayish areas in the painting are shadows from when the photograph was taken...

Antique Continental silver tea cup with saucer. Germany. Circa 1870s-1880s. Size: 5.5 in. x 3.5 in. ht. Gilded interior, .750 silver standard. Engraved monogram - 'G.B.'

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Franziska Hirsch Dresden studio in the 1890s. The saucer measures 4 1/4 inches in diameter and the cup is 1 1/2 inches high. It is similar to what is known as a 4 o’clock tea size made by the French Limoges companies. The cup has 8 ribbed panels coordinating with the scalloped panels on the saucer. All of the panels are hand painted with vibrantly colored flowers...

German Meissen very large Green Ivy pattern Porcelain Soup tureen with two(2) handles and matching large knob on top of the cover, with matching fluted rim Under platter, Ca. early 1900's, Tureen-12 1/2" high include knob, 14 1/2" wide include two(2) handles, and under platter-2" high, 19" wide, 15" deep, good underglaze blue cross sword mark with numerous impressed numbers with small blue marks on the bottom. The condition is good and fine quality.

A pair of pressed glass horn epergne or car flower vases from the 1910 era. Made with a loop for suspension from an epergne, a table decorative centerpiece, or a mount in an automobile, these 6-3/4" long unsigned vases measure 2-1/2" across the opening; they are in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs...

In addition to being a wonderful piece of American folk art, this watercolor and pen and ink on paper gives some good insight into one of the courting customs of the 18th and 19th centuries...

English Victorian cologne bottle, 1880. Cut-glass cylinder with short and threaded inset neck. Ball cover in form of male head with big ears, receding hairline, tronie-style grimace, and red bead eyes. Fully marked including London assay stamp and unidentified maker’s initials “T.S” in oval. The sporting craze in Victorian jewelry started in the 1890's and continued into the 20th century up until WWI. Encouraged by women's more active participation in sports, such jewelry was particularly fashionable for country wear. Our bangle is a slightly more modern version of the Victorian silver bangle, with a silver ball in the center of the tennis racket as the main motif, and stylized leaves to the left...

Antique marquise shaped 18K gold and chrysoberyl ring is an excellent example of Portuguese jewelry of the late 18th century. The Portuguese mined these gemstones from their colony in Brazil and created jewelry that was typically pave-set as seen here. The ring is size 10 and can be sized to fit.

Two lovely English trios with painted decoration of single roses. Wishbone or London handles, c 1820, probably New Hall. Numbers painted to base: 925 and 923. Height of cups "3/ 7,5 cm, diameter of saucers "5 ½/ 14 cm. Condition: a yellow tone to part of the handle of one cup (from fabrication), otherwise fine.

Very unusual Victorian sterling silver grapefruit spoon with a wonderful plique-a-jour enamel assymetrical handle decorated in six shades of translucent enamel. It is quite unusual for plique-a-jour enamel to have been used on a grapefruit spoon, as it was so fragile that it was usually reserved for more delicate pieces like demitasse spoons. The back is marked with Imperial Austrian marks in use 1866-1922.
