A very well designed and executed eight point Star of Bethlehem pieced cotton quilt with excellent quilting. The pieces around the edges are white with very small pale blue printed sprigs. The pieces for the star are all solid colors. The backing is printed green cotton in a small pattern. Quilted with feather wreaths in the corners and partial ones between the points of the stars. Twelve eight pointed stars made of cotton printed in orange with small yellow clover-like shapes arranged in rows of twos and threes with alternating white squares all enclosed in three bands of the same printed fabric. Large old Chinese rosewood stand on 5 small feet. Well constructed, it is very sturdy and will hold a lot of weight. There appears to be a repair on the inner bottom, but when we tried to move the piece in question, it would not budge. Therefore there are absolutely no condition issues with this stand. Measures 3.25" (8.9 cm) high, and about 8.5" (21.6 cm) diameter (see 2nd photo).

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Berlin, Germany by the Royal Porcelain Manufacturer, known as KPM, in the 1890s. It has the under glaze blue scepter and over glaze red orb with the letters KPM. The saucer has a diameter of 5 inches and is 1 1/8 inches deep...

A tall and beautiful antique English ale glass with a DSOT stem. The elongated ogee bowl is engraved below the rim with meandering branches of barley and hops. Midway down the bowl is a finely engraved bee. The stem contains a double series opaque twist comprised of a multi-ply band outside of a pair of spiral tapes. Conical foot with a rough, snapped pontil.

A large tyg with hand painted apples and leaves with green dental banding and green dashes on the three handles. The tyg, or loving cup, is a popular form for Wemyss. Marked with impressed “WEMYSS WARE” in an arch over “R.H.&S.” 7 ½ inches tall, 87/8 inch diameter at base. Handles are about 2 ¼ inches out from the body.

A very nice peacock or electric blue glass inkwell, the body cut in large facets. The hinged lid is topped with a figural cherub cast in glass of a matching color. The figure is completed with a matte acid finish that contrasts beautifully with the main part of the inkwell’s body. We’ve only seen this particular lid once and the figure was molded in colorless glass.

A classic 19th century French silver tastevin of traditional form and the bottom inset with a silver coin from the reign of Louis XV. The sides of the tastevin are decorated with the traditional raised "perles", recessed "cupules" and elgongated "godrons" for viewing the depth of color in a wine. A Staffordshire punch bowl decorated with both freehand painting and the transfer of the Chinese ladies and part of the fence in the center of the bowl. The border and the four sprays that decorate the outside of the bowl are all hand painted, as is the pink lustre mountain behind the ladies. The decoration is bright and cheerful. 9 ½ inches diameter, 4 ½ inches tall.

Superb antique English porcelain plates from the Worcester Flight, Barr and Barr factory. Placed on a gilded "seaweed" background, the central roundels depict exotic birds, beautifully painted by Charles Stinton, a well-known and highly acclaimed painter of birds.

One of the plates has the impressed crown and FBB mark, and the other has that mark and the red printed mark. Condition is mint, with no flaws of any kind, including all the gilding. The diameter of each plate is 8 3/4".

A fine and unusual antique English drinking glass of Jacobite significance. The round funnel bowl is beautifully engraved with a rose, a bud to the right, a butterfly, and foliage. The stem is of the double series air twist type, quite uncommon because of the configuration of a pair of mercury corkscrews outside of a central cable. Conical foot with a rough snapped pontil. Lead metal with good color, striations, and tooling marks.

A large Saxon (German) hunting glass with a thistle bowl, beautifully engraved with a castle, a mounted horseman, 4 dogs, and two geese and with a facet cut lower section. The stem is facet cut with a large facet cut stepped angular knop. Folded foot.

Despite what it might seem in the poor photos, the glass is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, clouding, or restoration. The height is 8 1/4", with a bowl diameter of 3 1/8" and a foot diameter of 3 5/8".

A medium size porcelain bowl with a lattice impressed border at the top and blue hand painted flowers. On the underside are the three waves and the number two, both hand painted in underglaze blue. Additionally there is a hand incised three in the body. This piece must have been early to have escaped the factory with the fairly dramatic warping that must have occurred during firing.
