This is a superb English MSAT wine glass with a vermicular collar. It is a pair with item g1252 and matches g1251, though that glass is considerably and uncommonly larger. The glass for sale in this listing is shown on the right in the first photo.

An important Newcastle light baluster (NLB) antique wine glass of John Paul Jones American Revolutionary War interest. Round funnel bowl with the stem having a rare configuration of a teared and cushioned inverted baluster knop above a multi-teared inverted baluster knop, and a basal knop. A creamware plate with a pierced border of alternating piercing patterns and gilt sections. A gilt bird stands in the well of the plate. The decoration is out of character for English style of the period so I would guess that the plate is Continental and from around 1800. It is 7 ½ inches (19 cm) diameter. No marks on the back.

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Some scratches and wear to the gilding.

Panelled and diaper molded border picked out in blue and green, handpainted and signed "P. Vissier", and dated 1769. The plate has two labels, one from the Newman collection, and the other from the Harriet Carlton Goldweitz collection, considered one of the finest English pottery collections of the last 25 years. 9 5/8 inches in diameter, superb condition with deep, vibrant color, and no chips, cracks, or restoration.

A hand thrown and painted hard paste porcelain punch bowl decorated on the outside with four bunches of roses and four groups of buds of roses around the outside under a wavy orange border on a tall foot. The inside edge is a band of black and orange hexagons in a Chinese manner under a gilt rim. In the bottom of the bowl is another bunch of roses. Unmarked and obviously European though Italian is a guess rather than a certainty. Late 18th century...

It is very unusual to find a true set of 18th century lead glass English roehmers, even in the green color which is the most common. To find this deep and beautiful amethyst color set was truly exceptional.

The glasses have large cup bowls on hollow blown stems with applied raspberry prunts, and collars on the upper portion of the stems...

A creamware mug, probably Liverpool, with a black transfer printed scene of a farm cottage with gate and outside the fence two men standing in front of a loaded one-horse cart. The oval transfer surrounded by foliage. Though much creamware was earlier it remained popular into the nineteenth century. 3 ¾ inches tall and 4 3/8 inches across the handle.

Condition: no cracks, hairlines or repairs. Fairly substantial chip that is mostly on the inside of the foot and another minor one on the foot...

Ann Unusual and Rare Matched Pair of George II Silver Strawberry Dishes, by George Wickes and Hallmarked in London, 1744. With a Scalloped and Fluted Gallery and a Center Armorial. Dimension; 10.125" in diameter x 2.25" high; weight 32.9 Troy ounces total. A few very small dimples and some surface scratches, but otherwise in excellent condition.

A fine and beautiful balustroid type ale or large wine glass, of lead metal. The pointed round funnel bowl, which has close wrythening, flares slightly, making it almost a bell bowl, and sits atop a stem with a wrythened flattened shoulder knop and a wrythened basal knop. The stem also has close wrythening. Such a stem is often referred to as rib-twisted.

The glass is in superb condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration...

A George III Engraved Silver Helmet Form Creamer or Cream Jug, with Reeded Top and Handle. There is a small monogram in the front and floral swags around. On a square pedestal foot, with marks on the underside; for London 1790 and IB (for John Belden). Dimensions; 6.4" to handle; weight 4 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.

A Sterling Silver Sugar Basket or Sweetmeat Dish in a Bright Cut Design from the George III period, by Thomas Chawner (makers mark slightly rubbed) and Hallmarked in London, 1786. Dimensions; 4.75" long x 3.25" wide x 6" high to handle; 3.6 Troy ounces. Escellent condition.

A Meissen porcelain cream pot and cover circa 1745 with a pine cone finial. The under glaze hand painted pattern is a variation on the Meissen onion pattern. The crossed sword mark is loosely painted in under glaze blue with an extra dot that is sometimes found on early pieces. Height is approximately 5 ½ inches (14cm). Width from spout to handle is approximately 5 ¾ inches (14.6cm).

Condition: There are firing flaws where the feet attach to the pot. No chips, cracks, or repairs...

This is a very fine Dr. Wall Worcester sparrow beak cream jug, dating from the 1765-1768 period. The pattern features brightly painted pomegranates in various stages of development. A fine Derby porcelain dish painted by Zachariah Boreman, marked on the reverse with a blue crowned "D" and pattern number 343. The kidney-shaped dish has a beautiful soft green wide border with a gilded edge. The white ground within the green border has elaborate drape and swag gilding on the outside edge, and gilded foliage surrounding the kidney shaped cartouche in the center.
