A pair of early Staffordshire figurines of eagles on vermicular or marble painted bases from 1820-1850. These well modelled heavily gilded 19thC English earthenware eagles are 7-3/4" tall. Both have tilted heads and back-stretched wings. They have purple, yellow and orange marble-like painting on the simple rectangular shape bases. The mustard yellow rocky perches have a blue flower. They not signed with a manufacturer's stamp, unfortunately fairly common with Staffordshire figures...

This porcelain charger was produced in Germany by the Helena Wolfsohn Dresden studio in the 1890s. It is 15” in diameter and 2” deep. It is molded in high relief with rococo decoration and framing the five reserves. The center of the piece has a hand painted of scene of people who have just landed on shore at dusk and setting up camp. There are ships' sails in the background. Four reserves in the border contain colorful hand painted flowers. There are gilded highlights and trim...

A pair of 19thC Japanese Meiji blue and white porcelain covered bowls. This fine pair consists of the 4-3/4" diameter footed bowls and their 5-1/4" covers with a rimmed foot or receptacle on the top. The covers can be placed on the rim to act as side dishes to the bowls. The hand painted blue and white design includes dragons, panels and scenes and each has hand painted gold highlights...

A 19th century Japanese Kutani bottle vase. This well painted hand decorated 6-1/8" vase features gold decoration, floral and figural panels and decoration in black and orange. It has what appears to be an artist's signature on the bottom and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs other than some linear craze lines and areas of fine crazing...

Jewelers produced tie pins in the 19th century to meet the increasing demand for novelty jewelry. The spiral ridge near the top of the pin helps to hold the item of clothing, whether it be a tie or a scarf, securely in place. The increasingly liberated and activism of women toward the later half of the 19th century gave rise to a new class of sporting jewelry. Many an equestrienne was wearing horseshoe pins to the lapel of her riding clothes by the 1880's...

Persian hand made silver items, used for deco-rational purposes, covering the tip of tobacco pipe. Each item stands 2 inches tall and has diameter of 1 inch. Great condition.

Three faience plates, probably from the Les Islettes factory near Reims in Northern France, one with a rooster / coquerel and two with a flower basket motif. All with combed red border and 19th century. Diameter "9/ 23 cm. Condition: some rim frits, the coquerel plate with some filled-in patches to the red parts (cf. pics).

This porcelain box was produced in Germany by Richard Klemm Dresden in the late 19th century. It measures 3 3/4 inches long, 1 3/4 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches high. The lid is elaborately decorated with a hand painted scene of lovers in a landscape. Fancy gilding frames the scene. The apple green ground is overlaid with a fine mesh of raised gold. The bottom half of the box is white with ornate gilded filigree around it. Condition: There is slight wear to the gold mesh on the lid...

This is an ANTIQUE STERLING DRESDEN BERRY SPOON or SERVING SPOON by WHITING, Division of GORHAM. This late Victorian Spoon has a Beautiful FLORAL DESIGN on the Handle both front and back. The Bowl has an "Embossed" beaded design. Length is 7 1/2"; bowl measures 2 5/8" X 3". Date this Serving Spoon 1896 and clearly marked 1896(see jpgs). A Large Round Copeland Tray or Platter in Blue on a White background with a Scalloped Rim with a Gold Edge. The dimension is 15" in diameter, with a height of 1.5". The date mark is for 1881, with the Copeland imprint on the underside. In excellent condition.

This bisque porcelain figure was produced in the mid 19th century. It has the initials L&M impressed in the base. We do not know the country of origin but it most likely is Continental. It is 10 1/2 inches high and the base has a diameter of 4 inches. It is made of unfired bisque porcelain. The piece depicts a sweet faced child holding a basket of fruit in one hand. There is a feeling of calmness and purity emanating from this figure. Condition: Excellent

Offered is this beautiful, hand-painted art glass vase. The vase is decorated with berries and leaves. The vase is 9 1/2 inches tall and 5 inches wide at its widest. It is in excellent condition. Like many Mt Washington objects, the vase is unsigned, except for the number, '20' in its polished pontil (see last picture)...

Dutch silver figural spice box. Imported to England in 1891 by BH Joseph & Co. An egret gracefully scrolled neck, red glass eyes, and gaping beak stands on one scaly leg, the other leg raised with clenched talons. A beautiful bird with nicely delineated plumage. Hinged at bust. Dutch assay stamp and date letter, and English sterling-standard import marks including London assay stamp. Excellent condition.
