A rare hammered brass cigar humidor bearing the double-headed eagle insignia of Russia's Romanov dynasty. The tall humidor is of seamed construction and has a hammered surface. The front is decorated with the Romanov eagle applique attached with copper rivets. This is an elegant 19th Century Victorian ivory page turner, the handle embellished with delicately carved flowers and C scrolls. The Victorians used page turners to protect the pages of valuable books from damage; they were also used to protect the hands from newsprint. Measurement: length: 12 inches. American Art and Crafts Period Rookwood Vase, a perfect compliment to your Arts and Crafts bungalow, Frank Lloyd Wright would be pleased. This is the second largest size in this mold; the vase stands 12 1/8 inches (31 cm) tall. Vases larger than 10 inches are uncommon for Rookwood. Glazed in Oxblood red with green highlights on the rim. Vase has impressed RP flame mark with VII below, and an impressed 951 B. Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks or repairs. Circa 1907

A wonderful late 19th or very early 20th century sheet iron weathervane in the form of a sperm whale silhouette. The vane is hand sawn and retains its old coat of oxidized green paint (may be original, but appears to be a second coat). One side still has its black painted eye. The silhouette is attached to its original copper mounting pole. Found in Maine.
