This cup and saucer was produced in Germany by an unknown manufacturer between 1815 to 1848. The set does not bear a maker’s mark. The location of this scene is written on the bottom of the cup “Ruine Trinberg bie Kissingen” translated Trinberg ruins near Kissingen. The saucer measures 5 5/8 inches in diameter. A Pair of Sterling Candlesticks by Dominick and Haff with an Extensively Chased Design. They are 11" high and weigh 16.5 ounces each (33 ounces total)and are unweighted. From the early 1900's and in excellent condition. Note that there are a matching pair pair of tazzas available (Item number 1417).

This is a fine sterling silver napkin ring with a Gorham mark made in the Victorian period, ca 1860, brite cut with scrolling flowers and monogrammed RCW. Condition is very good having small surface dings; Measurement: 1 5/8 in. diam. x 1 in. high.

Handmade of colonial silver, this "mate" cup is of Uruguayan origin from the 1850-1870 period.
"Mate" is a special cup for drinking "yerba mate" a popular tea brewed from the leaves of a native holly (Ilex Paraguariensis). The perforated silver straw used for drinking the "mate" contains leaves carving.

This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by Meissen in the late 19th century. It has first quality crossed swords under glaze. The plate is 8 inches in diameter and 1 3/8 inches deep. The plate has a delicate reticulated border. the center of the plate has a intricate pattern of pink blossoms known as “pink onion or Indian pink”. The stylized flowers are accented with gold. There are reserves inside the border with more of the pink flowers...

Elaborately handled server by Reed & Barton in the "Love Disarmed" pattern. It has the old hallmarks dating back to 1899. This piece is in excellent condition, the figure on the handle and all of the repousse work are very crisp. Originally an asparagus server, it can be used for so many things. It has lovely piercings on the flat portion, and it shows no wear. It measures approximately 11.25" long and 3.75" at its widest. It weighs 255 grams. It is not monogrammed.

A white nunglazed porcelain bust of a young man on a blue and gilt socle with the name “VIALA†in gilt. With the beginning of the third Republic and the end of the possibility of the Monarchy returning, there was a revival of interest in the Revolution. Joseph Agricol Viala was a boy hero of 1793 with his name later inscribed on the Arc de Triomphe. On the back in a rectangle “Sevres†then “ER. 87. 1. (LV)â€. This is a very beautiful set of seven crystal goblets manufactured by the prestigious Bohemian firm Josephinenhutte between 1880-1890, delicately enameled with a scroll and ribbon design in two shades of gold centered with clusters of lucious purple grapes, gold number painted underneath foot; 5 1/2 in H, pristine.

This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Richard Klemm Dresden Studio in the 1890s. The saucer measures 6 inches in diameter and the cup is 4 inches high. The cup has a pedestal base and the saucer is contoured with a raised well in the center. The saucer is a platform for the cup. The ground color is blue green. A striking engraved and flashed beaker depicting a woman on a plinth in a classical Roman robe, holding laurel wreaths, with classical buildings and an eagle on a column Underneath this is engraved in German: "Those who put forth the effort will receive the prizes." The flashed lower part of the beaker features cut semi-roundels and other cutting above a scalloped base with a cross-hatched cut bottom.

Condition is excellent except for some relatively minor chips on the base underside...

This is a set of 12 dainty Dresden flower bread and butter plates, with the mark of Helena Wolfson, ca. 1886-1891, with Deutsche blumen, shaped gilt rims and a fabulous raised swirl surface. Condition: excellent; some paint losses on the swirl ridges.Measurement: 5" dia.

Ornate sterling silver meat serving fork featuring a heavily scrolled handle with matte-gilt, bright-cut tines. The back is marked "925 Sterling 1000". Many late 19th century silver makers did not otherwise mark their wares.

A rare dedicated souvenir "Turban Shell" (Latin: Turbo Marmoratus) hand engraved, onboard ship, "with a penknife" by C H Wood.
