This is a rare Victorian sterling diner’s napkin hook with a patent date of 1879. A real conversation starter! Diner’s napkin hooks have been in existence since the 17th century, but were all the rage during the Victorian era. To keep from spilling food on their finery, gentlemen simply attached their napkin to the clip on one end and then put the small hook over the top of their collars. Condition: excellent. A Mid-19th Century French Walnut Lap Desk and Stationary Box with Brass Trimmings and a Porcelain Medallion Head. Writing Slope Slides out from the Front of the Desk. Dimensions; 14" wide x 12.5" deep x 10.5" high. Circa 1850-1875, Some wear, but in overall very good condition.

A stunning large natural quartz crystal oxide mineral with just a touch of smoke tonalities. Lighter tones lead to almost transparent clear mineral. A blend of smaller clusters of crystals making up the base leading single large crystal fading out at a 45 degree angle.

Unusually large 19th Century ivory page turner, smooth blade with a large tapered grip handle. The Victorians used page turners to protect the pages of valuable books from damage; they were also used to protect the hands from newsprint. Measurement: length: 18 3/4 inches. Condition: 1/2 inch crack at tip end of handle. This item cannot be shipped out of the country.

A lovely bright olive green vase with molded ribbed blocking and cold-gilt gold and platinum decoration depicting thistles. The gilding is of very fine quality and has almost an Aesthetic Movement appearance. The vase uses a cased construction of various layers of clear and colored glass typical of Moser. The bottom is finished with a concave polished pontil and is marked with the form/decoration code “Q/195”.

Meissen porcelain mug and saucer with gold trim and the date 1893 is written in decorative flowers. The saucer is 6 inches in diameter and the mug is 3 inches in diameter and 3 inches in height.
