Antique Continental 18thc mortar but no pestle, very nice antique for both display and kitchen use.

English, most likely Bilston, eighteenth century. The elongated oval shape, all over floral decoration, and the unusual brown painted panels are not infrequent characteristics of Bilston’s “gingham finish” enamel boxes, hence the Bilston attribution.

Fine cracks to enamel, and small losses on both sides and back.

A beautiful, iridescent, Favrile glass bowl and underplate, made by Tiffany Studios around 1910. Both pieces are signed and are in fine condition. The plate is 6 3/4 inches wide while the bowl is 4 inches wide at the top.

Pretty German 800 silver and crystal decanter, ca 1910. Curved and faceted crystal body flowing into spread base; acid-etched flowers, leaves, and scrolls. Drum-form neck in silver collar with tooled flowers and scrolls. Silver ovoid and faceted stopper with flowers and scenes of gallantry. Pierced silver border at base with scrolls and shells. Marks include maker’s stamp for Vereinigte Silberwarenfabrik in Hanau. Good condition.

Set of 4 Victorian Classical sterling silver candlesticks. Made by Hawksworth, Eyre & Co. Ltd in Sheffield in 1880. Each: Gadrooned urn socket with detachable bobeche mounted to stepped top of tapering and fluted pillar on raised square base. With one 4-light inset comprising central socket on wax pan to which are mounted 3 scrolled and reeded arms each terminating in same. Central socket has domed cover with vasiform finial. Low relief pendant flowers and garlands with ribbon and paterae...

George V sterling silver tray. Made by Alexander Clark & Co. in Sheffield in 1927. Traditional Georgian cartouche with molded rim, gently curved sides, and double-scroll corners. Corner stepped disc supports. Fully marked. Very good condition.

A striking and nicely painted oil on canvas pair of American portraits. The sitters (by family repute) are Hendrick Henry Lasher (1788 - 1843) and Hannah Sharp (1793 - 1851) of New York.

Painted in a straightforward, stark style, the artist has deftly used dark tones for the clothing the background, focusing the light and the viewer's attention on the faces.

Condition is very good, with no holes or large amounts of restoration...

A small cloisonné enamel dish, unusual colors: rusty brown and turquoise green peony, the back with bamboo leafs and grapes in dark blue and black. Japanese, late 19th century. Diameter "3 ½/ 9.2 cm. Condition: enamel loss, esp. to the back (cf. pics).

A beautiful and pristine Dr. Wall First Period Worcester hexagonal creamboat with a flared rim, a double scroll handle and the lip moulded with a geranium leaf. This wonderful piece, of highly desirable form, is painted in bright colours of green, iron-red, fuchsia, purple, blue, and yellow, and features two bouquets of flowers within scroll moulded cartouches, amongst scattered blooms. The front and the interior are also lavishly decorated with further sprays...

Offered is this beautiful antique oil lamp (the lamp has been electrified), made by Sheldon. It is made in the highly collectible swirled-glass decor. The lamp is 7 1/2 inches tall (to bulb-socket) and 4 1/4 inches wide at its widest. There are a couple of base chips (the larger one shown in 7th picture)...

19th century cast iron figure of an angel raising a laurel wreath above her head and holding a ship's anchor. Obviously intended as a symbol of the wishes for a sailor's safe return from the sea, the plaque was probably used to decorate the wall of a sailor's home in an Atlantic coast seaport.

Origin: America, circa 1860s. Condition: excellent, light rusting on surface. Size: 14" tall.

Beautiful pair of German WMF, 14.5" tall silvered pewter claret pots. Underneath the pot is the fully marked diamond symbol of the running ostrich and the model number. Please see enlargements for more detail. Late 19th Century.
Measures: 14.5" (37 cm) tall, 6.69" (17 cm) from handle to spout.

An exquisite example of a 19th C. Moser hand blown lime green fading to clear vase embellished with 3 rows of applied prunts, a wide diamond cut band, a plethora of gold enameled scroll work and floral designs throughout. The base or foot is softly paneled. In excellent condition, no cracks, no repairs, no chips, minimal wear to gold gilt on lip, it measures 8.5 inches high. Dates circa 1890-1910.

Sterling silver fried oyster serving spoon by Tiffany & Co in the 1872 Vine pattern. The handle is decorated with grapes leaves and vines. Marked "Tiffany & Co" and "Sterling", it measures 9.5" long and weighs 113 grams.
