Classical coin silver christening mug, ca 1850. Baluster bowl with high-looping leaf-capped s-scroll handle and round stepped foot. Large scrolled frame (vacant) surrounded by rural idyll with house and barn set in bosky landscape. In foreground a hunter takes aim at a fox. No vermin allowed in paradise. New York retailer’s stamp (Ball, Black & Co.) and star and eagle associated with Hartford production. Very good condition with nice patina.

Dinner plate in Sevres pattern but probably Minton c. 1850

A soft paste porcelain dinner plate unmarked, but probably Minton. In the “feuille de choux” pattern with hand painted flowers, blue accents and heavy gilding. These knock offs of 18th century Sevres were popular from the mid 19th century (c.1850) onwards and Minton made many of the very good ones. 9 ½ inches (24 cm) diameter.

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs...

This is a stoneware crock, 11 1/2" high and approximately 10 1/2" diameter, natural non-gray color, the "2" cut into the wet clay before it was fired. There are several edge chips, but there is some white paint on one side of the rim that is NOT chips, and it comes off with the fingernail. Note the glaze. I am a fine arts dealer and stoneware is not my area of expertise, so, I hope I am identifying this properly...

A beautiful antique, English cameo glass vase, made most likely by Thomas Webb and Sons, around 1900. The vase is 8 1/4 inches (21 cm) tall and 4 1/4 inches (11 cm) wide at the shoulders. It is in excellent condition - no chips, cracks or repairs (there are some fabrication flaws typical of hand-made items). Polished pontil.

Superb quality, antique European pair of solid silver marriage spoons. The spoons have a deep oval bowl with an elaborate stem. The front and back of the stems are finely hand-chiseled and engraved, and the finials are in the form of a 17th-century bust of a woman. The quality of the spoons is superb, and they are in excellent condition.

The stem's lower part bears a heraldic shield with the date 1625. The backs of the shields are adorned with mascarons...

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Doulton Burslem in 1893. It was presented at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair and is marked as such. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The porcelain is fine white bone china. It has molded decoration in the porcelain and the edges are slightly scalloped. This pair of porcelain plates was produced in England by Copelands China in the 1880s for the retailer J.E. Caldwell of Philadelphia. They measure 8 1/8 inches in diameter. The porcelain blanks are fluted and scalloped. One plate is pale blue and the other is white. They are decorated with an elaborate pattern of raised enamel beads and intricate gilding. Rare American coin silver figural punch ladle in its original case. Featuring a woman's figure at the top, a twist handle, and a embossed face on the bowl, this ladle is attributed to George Sharp. The case is leather and shows minor age related wear. The ladle is in excellent condition measuring 13.75 inches long x 3.5" across the bowl. Dates 1840-1860.

A mulberry transfer English Staffordshire plate in the Athens pattern by William Adams & Sons made c. 1850. The inking is crisp and sharp, even on the backside as evidenced by the clear registry mark. The shape has 14 edges. Adams was one of the longest lived potters in England, operating as late as the 1990s.

These fine porcelain ewers are made in a neoclassical style with a slightly flaring base supporting a bulbous body whose neck narrows before ending in an elongated spout. Tall dramatic handles are attached to the vase. Rich cobalt blue panels alternate with white ground spaces each having simple floral embellishments surrounded by gilded swirls and scrolls.
