Exquisite cut glass flower centre bowl in the Glenwood pattern by J. D. Burgen, 1899. This bowl was made in three sizes, and this 12 inch one is the largest of the three. It is in perfect original condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. It is referenced and pictured in the Encyclopedia of American Cut and Engraved Glass by Michael Pearson, Volume 1, page 58.

A Toddy or Punch Ladle in Sterling Silver by Gorham in the rare Louis XIV pattern, for Theodore B. Starr and Herman Marcus. It is in a bent ladle shape (may have been straight originally, but more likely it was based on designs in the George III period) and dates from about 1870, when the design was patented. It weighs 6.4 Troy ounces and measures 8" x 5", with a bowl of 4.5" x 3.5". Its unbent length would be 14.5". There is a monogram "N" on the underside of the handle...

An outstanding Restoration period French silver wine taster in the 18th century style typical of Lyon. With the restoration of the Bourbon monarchy, many old styles from the ancien regime once again came into fashion, and this tastevin, building on decorative elements typical of the 1770's, is a perfect example. Tastevins with snake-form handles were particularly popular. Those with a pair of snake heads that somewhat resemble bird's heads flanking a sphere are typical of silver from Lyon...

An Oval Silver Tea Caddy; Made in Nuremberg, Germany, circa 1880 and Stamped Germany for export at a later date. Village scenes on each side. Weight 6.4 Troy ounces. Dimensions; 4.25" high x 4" wide x 2.75" deep. Has the "n" mark for Nurenberg and the number 13 (0.812 silver) on the lip of the bottom (both barely visible in the picture). Excellent condition.

A fine example from the Quadrupeds Series, manufactured, primarily for the American market, by John Hall between 1802 and 1832. This particular piece depicts the pronghorn antelope, with a beaver, otter, coyote, and raccoon in the cartouches at the edge of the plate. Marked on the reverse a printed "Hall Quadrupeds".

The plate is 8" in diameter and is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration, and having the desirable deep blue ripple glaze.

Extremely rare piece of Heisey that was in a drug store in the midwest in the late 1800s. It has stayed in the same family all these years. It measures 29" tall and in very good condition for its age. It does have a small chip on the rim of the bottom plate, and there are stains on the top plate that need to be taken out, although its not something I do. Other than that and a few extremely minor rough edges, its in great shape...

An absolutely delightful bronze calling card tray, the center designed with a small frog atop a traditional baroque-style wave. The top edge of the dish has a wonderful scene of four frogs riding big-wheel bicycles along a road. They have quite good balance, as all have their arms crossed. The lead frog is even smoking a pipe. Road markers reading “2Km” and “3Km” mark their progress. This is a beautiful, large bronze cherub standing on a rouge marble base from the late l9th century that was made into a lamp. It measures 45" tall to the top of the light. The cherub itself is 20" tall and it stands on a marble base that is 10 1/2" tall. It is in beautiful condition, the cherub's arms are pinned where they should be and its a beautiful addition to any home. I can find no artist name or stamps on the piece, but it is a great 19th century sculpture.

Beautiful European car dish made using the "aqua-fortis" technique which is a type of etching. In this technique, plates of copper, steel, zinc, etc. are covered with a varnish and then blackened with black-smoke. A hand tool is used to remove the varnish, exposing the raw metal. The varnish is then covered with wax. Nitric acid (aqua-fortis) is spilled onto the surface will corrode the parts devoid of varnish. Inscription reads F. BOUCHER , PASTORALE. Circa 1900.
