Beautiful old Nepali/Tibetan bamboo box with rattan bindings and metal chain. Bought this in Kathmandu in 1986 and it always been one of my favorite pieces. There are cracks on the outside of the bamboo, but none on the inside. H: 20cm/8in and 9.8cm/3.9in.

An interesting American painted wooden box with a domed lid and four feet. The color is a dark eggplant black (black with a slight purple hue) with split rattan bands painted yellow. The interior of the lid is painted yellow, teal green, and off white. The same color palate and pattern is repeated on inside bottom and outside bottom. This sturdy box is in excellent condition, measuring 13" long, 7" high...
This early Shaker sieve has a design in the horsehair woven mesh. The sieve has wooden pegs all around the edge and the lap is nailed. The rims on top and bottom are a little rough from use and the strainer has two areas at the edges that have weakened, see pictures. This is early and very nice and displays easily hanging on a peg or nail. It is 13 1/2" 4" high. C. 1830
