A fancy ornate brass oval frame having trefoil cartouches with leaves and edged with beading encircle the mirror held up by easel stand whose stretcher is detached from the frame. However the stand is still most functional. The frame is a very elegant reminder of a lost craft. Acanthus leaves decorate the painted border, topped by an elaborate floral crest with center figural medallion. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Eugene V. and Clare E. Thaw.
