Crafted of hardwood aged to a rich, warm patina, this exceptional folk art walking stick features a shaft containing natural smoothed knobs that give this stick an elegant feel. A leather strap allows this classic walking stick to be worn around the belt or wrist for ease of use. Sturdy enough for everyday use, it measures about 32 inches long with the strap being 6".

This is not my area of specialty so I will attempt a best description. The smoking pipe is of Meerschaum, (for the German "sea foam"), actually the mineral sepiolite. Since the 1720's, the mineral, found mostly in Turkey, has been used in the fashioning of ornately carved smoking pipes. The mineral has been described as soft enough to carve yet hard enough to polish. The fad for such smoking implements reached a peak in Victorian times...

This handle of this turn-of-the-century walking stick has the figure of a Madonna carved from an unusually large piece of ivory. The handle measures 14-1/4 x 1-2/4 inches and tops an ebony shaft and an ivory tip. Overall length is 36 inches.

Spectacular Victorian 14K solid multicolor gold Illinois pocket watch, circa 1884, comprising a yellow gold 6 Size Hunter Case, the front engraved with a pink/rose gold monogrammed shield surrounded with intricate green gold flowers. Offered are three, circa 1900-1905 era, Spalding, smooth face, hickory shaft golf clubs. Although smooth face golf clubs fell out of fashion and perhaps function by the very early 1900s, they were still offered in catalogues for a number of years beyond this date.

The first club has "THE SPALDING" stamped on the back of the face as well as on the shaft and dates to pre 1900. It measures 36" from the heel to the top of the shaft and appears minimally used...

A very rare cast iron fireplace tool set with caddy includes tongs, poker, and shovel. The caddy in enameled in black over a white primer, a clue to help dating of the set. The caddy is formed of rectilinear lines with a bird with large plumes in the center. Each of the tools has a ring for either grabbing or hanging. Tool handles have twisted shafts with simple decoration on the squared portions. The tools appear to be hand forged...

Beautiful Howard & Co., Boston banjo clock in wonderful rosewood case. All original and running great. Measures 28 1/2" long x 12" wide x 4" deep.

English Victorian period hand painted Tole Inkwell, 2 1/4" high, 3" wide-maximum measurement-Hexagonal point to point, with removable original clear glass ink well fit inside the hole, with dome shape hinged top. Hand painted floral decoration in gold. One(1) slight dent 3/8" x 1/4" wide on the top.

A very nice Victorian inkwell in peacock blue glass. The front side is engraved with an ornate floral pattern. The lid has lapidary cutting around the edges and is engraved with the image of a dove in mid-flight and carrying a letter in its beak. Certainly, the suggestion is of a lovebird delivering a sentimental note! The lid is mounted with a brass hinge.

Origin: America, ca. 1860. Condition: excellent, a small flake under the bottom. Size: 2-1/2” x 2-1/2” x 3-1/16” tall.

This great carved ivory walking stick features a wonderful cockatoo with beautiful blue glass eyes. This stick has a coin silver British collar, ebony shaft and metal ferrule. This stick measures 37 1/4" x 1 1/4" x 1". The handle is 3" x 1 1/4" x 1". The collar is 1/4" and the ferrule is 1". A very nice stick!

English sterling silver handled cane, handle bears the silver and maker's mark, haven't read the marking but believe it to be from late 19th/early 20th century period, having an rosewood shaft. Size; Handle measures 2 ” x 1 1/2”, Overall length of cane 36 inches. Condition Report; Several dings and dents to the handle area, sign of age wear to the shaft.

Circa. 1900- Delicately carved handle, carved as a Pinocchio-type head with extremely long wood nose, metal collar, exotic ribbed wood shaft with brass ferrule to tip. Overall length of cane is 34 3/4 3/4 inches. Condition Report; Cane is in very good condition, we haven't detected any imperfections.
