A very rare cast iron fireplace tool set with caddy includes tongs, poker, and shovel. The caddy in enameled in black over a white primer, a clue to help dating of the set. The caddy is formed of rectilinear lines with a bird with large plumes in the center. Each of the tools has a ring for either grabbing or hanging. This is a very collectable walking stick featuring a dog coming out of the handle. Note the stones stacked behind the dog and the additional intricate carving details in the dog. A very fine stick. Well, this was recently acquired from the estate of a 100 year old resident. The nickel plated shaver is in very nice condition, complete with a blade and box that is lined in a purple velvet type material. The interior is labeled “ANTICOR – The Saftey Corn Shaver” and the directions are printed on the label noted on the bottom of the box.

The box measures 4 inches long and is in good condition.

This handsome, late 19th century leather case is a wonderful example of a physician's traveling medicine case of this era. Offered is a very difficult-to-find grouping of twelve, matching, 19th century, porcelain, apothecary cabinet drawer pulls.

Each pull measures about 2"W x 1 3/4"H x 1 1/2" front to back (not including bolt).

The condition of the pulls is very good with only a few minor manufacturing imperfections that add to the desired patina of an antique of this age and period.

Hard-to-find English barrel shaped wooden string holder with a pedestal base. Made of lignum vitae wood, the dispensing end has a twist off opening. Circa 1860-1880 it is still a useful object and a great find for the collector. Overall condition is good with only a small chip on the base. Has a beautiful warm patina and measures 5" long at base, 5.5" wide at back, 6.5" high.
