Superbly detailed and rather substantial vessel, made as a grinning man with his tungue between his teeth and wearing larger earrings and headdress, the spout of the vessel prodruding from the top of his head. Rather scarce piece!

This Olmec "spoon" is 1 1/4" X 3/4" and is made from translucent fuchsite. It is generally accepted that these served as trays from which shamans inhaled hallucinogenic snuff. This piece is from the famous Keith Finello collection and dates to C900-600BC.

This is a fine example of the San Patrice, Hope Variety, early Archaic or transitional Paleo point dating to around 8000BC. It was found in Jasper County, Texas. It is made from translucent fossilized palmwood. It is fluted on both sides. It is 1/1/2" long and the base is ground. The edges are serrated. DESCRIPTION: A large polychromed wood figure of Saint Martin De Porres, Peruvian, 18th C. Here he is depicted gazing upward toward heaven, arms outstretched, wearing his Dominican robe embroidered in gold with a long painted rosary dangling past his waist. His white undergarment is richly painted with flowers and gold leafy tendrils. Carved in full round, his head is set with glass eyes and he retains a good amount of the original paint. DIMENSIONS: 26 inches high (66 cm).
