Ipethemetes means 'Ipet is her majesty' or mistress or or 'The Ipet of her Majesty'

The hippopotamus goddess Ipet was worshipped as mother of Osiris at Thebes...

A very rare stamp seal depicting a warrior, kneeling behind shield holding sword or spear, 500-300 BC.

The seal with drilled hole for wearing and the top and trapezoid / pyramidal shape.

Ancient Egyptian Faience "Djoser" Tile, 3rd Dynasty, - c. 2.36 x 1.42 inches - ca. 6 cm x 3,6 cm

Egyptian Faience "Djoser" Tile, 3rd Dynasty, c. 2650 BC. Faience tile with blue-green glaze. Size 6.1 x 3.4 cm. Smooth surface obverse with a projection and hole on the reverse for hanging. Small chip at upper right corner and along bottom, otherwise intact.

The blue faience tiles were made to resemble the reed matting of the king's palace at Memphis...

A very rare and interesting stamp seal of quality bone or tusk, Greek period of the Levante, ca. 4th...

A truly spectacular example of early Roman glass, being a sea-green bowl of shallow rounded form with a smooth edge and 28 exterior pronounced ribs converging at the bottom. A wheel cut triple band circles the lower flattened section of the bowl.

The diameter at the top rim is 6 1/8", and the height is 1 3/8". The condition of the bowl is superb, with no chips, cracks, or restoration and displaying a wonderful iridescence. I have shown a number of photos below in different lighting and angles...

Colorful fragment from a sarcophagus. Depicting and facing left, Osiris and two of the four sons of Horus - the falcon headed god - Qebehsenuef and the jackal headed god, Duamutef. All wearing elaborate, cross-hatched, net-design garments. Hieroglyphic inscription and remains of feather design underneath. A very close parallel at the Brooklyn Museum, appears to date this cartonnage to probably the end of the 25th Dynasty, 712-664 B.C. 10 3/4 inches high X 6 1/4 inches wide. All original pigment....

A large 4 sided jar in sea-green glass, having a wide ridged strap handle and folded lip. The base is decorated with a segmented circle in the center of which is another circle. Smaller circles are at each corner of the base. This is NOT a reproduction, but an original period piece.

The jar is in excellent condition, with no cracks, chips, or repairs. It is 9 1/2" tall, and 3 1/4" on each side of the square base.

This classic Etruscan bronze is in excellent condition, measuring just over six inches in length. Each terminus (end) has the face of a bearded Satyr, with flaring, upturned ears. A rare and classic example, dating to circa the 5th-3rd century BC. Custom stand included. Excellent provenance, to be provided to the purchaser.

A rare Ancient Near East Bronze short sword or large dagger dating to 1st-2nd mill BC.

Commonly termed Luristani by dealers and collectors.

Fine style weapon with square shoulders and a flat central midrib. As a rare feature, on this short sword the lower part of the hilt is intact, which is seldom seen on this type of bronze age weapon.

Size is 42,7 cm - 16,8 inches.

Fine head of Harpocrates, wearing the sidelock, with prominent facial details, strong nose, creased forehead, and pleasant facial expression. 1st/2nd Century AD. 2 5/8 inches high. Intact as shown. Ex. old New Jersey art market.

This amulet is carved from a beautiful blue-green stone, most probably jasper and has been done with great attention to detail. The surface has a wonderful "mellow" patina and great tactile appeal. It measures 1"in height and is free from any restoration or re-carving. Inserted on a wooden stand, easily removed, should one desire. Dating to the Middle Kingdom. Ex London art market. Agate cylinder seal with an intricate incised design representing a king or deity facing right, surmounted by a bird, and facing a smaller character holding a weapon and standing on a pedestal surmounting a tiny character at its feet. Mesopotamia, ca. 2000 B.C. Height: 4.4 cm. Abrasion, tiny chips, otherwise very good condition.

Pendant of square shape, with a relief design representing two crowned characters kneeling in front of an altar surmounted by a circle containing an entity. Tiny loop at its top. Bronze, with reddish-green patina. Mesopotamia, ca. 2000 B.C. Height: 5.7 cm. Abrasion due to great age, otherwise good condition.

Heavy bracelet decorated with a tiger head at each tip. Bronze, with partly encrusted green patina. Bactria, ca. 6th century B.C. maybe earlier. Inside diameter: around 9.5 cm. Very good condition.

Mosaic glass pendant in the shape of a bearded head, surmounted by a large loop for attachment to a necklace. Phenicia, or Carthage, archaic period, 350 to 200 B.C. Height: 6.1 cm. Barely visible old accident, superbly restored, otherwise very good condition. NOTE: similar pendants are shown in the Antique Glass Collection of the Louvre Museum in Paris.
