Chinese Blue and white Dragon and Clouds Kendi, Ching dynasty, 18th century, 12.5" High, with crackle to glaze.
This is a dark slightly irridescent toffee-coloured glazed porcelain tripod censer of shallow compressed gobular vessel supported on three flatten bud feet. On the slightly everted mouth rim of the censer, it has a slightly tilted handle to the left and right. The tripod is designed after the popular Ming dynasty Xuande period style. Cir. late 18th to 19th century.
Generally in good condition - No damage. No repair, hairline, crack or chip...
Decorated with a plantain leaves in the center and lotus petal on the outside. W=9.5 cm. Early Ming 1368-1398. Condition : perfect, no chips, cracks, hairline or restoration.
Black bowl, Kangxi (1662 - 1722) decorated in black and over glaze gold flowers. Double blue rings in under glaze blue and Mark in over glaze blue. Condition: the bowl has a reparation from the 19:th century (see pictures). The over glaze gold has wearings from normal use (unusual that gold still is so visible). Chinese elm wood square low table in a natural finish with two deep drawers each on two alternating sides. Brass hardware appears to be original. Late 19th century. 19 5/8"H x 31 3/4" square. There is an old narrow moon shaped burn on the top (see enlargement 3) and there are a few small separations in the wood on the top from shrinkage. This piece is from a Tucson collection and was purchased by expatriates to Taiwan in the 1980's.
