Japanese antique natural indigo dyed hand-spun Jōfu Hemp or Ramie long roll fabric. It is a precious piece of cloth. It is a traditional Japanese Basho leaf design. There is no dirt. Up for sale is an antique chinese Qing dynasty military rank badge from the back of the surcoat, first half of 1800, a leopard represents the 3rd rank military official, standing on a pride rock above the sea waves, surrounded by different kind of auspicious objects; backded with light blue silk lining. Overall executed in seed or forbidden stitch; overall in good condition, minor wear and lost thread to the border. See pictures for details.

Beautiful Chinese antique court lady's skirt, made all of different colored silk, all folded and sewn into tiny pleats, edges embroidered with scenes of birds and flowers, two larger panels have applied rectangles of silk minutely embroidered with birds and tiny bats and a design in gold thread. circa 1900. Size (when spread out): 74" wide x 37" high (skirt length).

Sake cup in wood lacquered with gold, silver and cinnabar powder. On the outside on a rich thick kinji background, decorated with flowers in gold and silver leafs around the perimeter and in the center 2 stylized Chinese characters in thick lumpy cinnabar lacquer with the most beautiful aesthetic effect, probably the mark of the artist. The exterior is decorated with maple leaves in gold, red, green and brown lacquer on a black background. Note that polychrome lacquers are very rare...

A beautiful Chinese silk rug (6' x 9'); the yellow field bearing a central medallion of a front-facing dragon with four side-facing dragons in each corner, all on a stylized linked flower head ground, the border with stylized lotus, peony and other flowers of good fortune.

This is an old hand woven carpet in great quality. The whitish areas shown in some photos are reflections of light on the silk. The five claws dragons are woven on a brown metal background (gilt copper)...

One of them, in the rear of the boat, seems to be either sunbathing or nurturing an ailment; another is wearing a large Amigasa Kasa hat; there is woman carrying a baby in her arms. Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty 19th century Han Chinese woman's robe, and embroidered sleeve bands executed in seed stitch; 5 toggle-loop gilt buttons. The robe is in excellent condition, no fray or wear, shoulder lines have no wear or split, Except there is a very tiny hole in the front left. Measurements : Top collar to bottom hem 36", Sleeve to sleeve 65" when fully stretched, sleeve width 20", width between arm pits 25" narrowest, width of hem 36" widest.

Made out of bronze with worn gilt and a belt hook of beautifully carved white jade. Age: 18th/19th century. Size: 2" height x 3.75" length.
