A small porcelain teapot with molded chrysanthemum blossom decoration and arch-shaped handle. Thick greyish clay with craquelé. Condition: few tiny rim frits near the spout end, no repairs. Dimension: 12.4 cm high x 12.8 cm long.

The Size of Tea Pot: 6 1/2" Long x 5 1/2" Wide x 5 1/4" High. This very unusual Japanese Porcelain Tea Pot in Sometsuke (Blue and White). It is all handpainted design of Botan (peony) with Chrysanthemum flowers as well as some relief works on flowrs. The condition of Tea Pot excellent. Please note the handle area with little tiny glaze bubbles bursted. Other than this the condition of Tea Pot excellent. There is Kamadashi ato ( kiln spots) on the bottom edge as photos showing...

This mid 19th century famille-rose seal box is 1¾ inches tall and 3½ inches in diameter. It has Qian Long mark on the bottom. The mark is fictitious which is quite common. It is decorated with a floral design. Though the color is slightly worn and tiny chip appears inside the cover, it is in great condition.

A rare black glazed Song wine jar with two handles and a spout for pouring. These containers were used for offering a sweet rice wine. You will sometimes find remnants of the wine in the bottom of the jar that has solidified. Size: H: 27.3cm. Condition: No repairs. In it's original condition.

Lovely small meiping from Northern China, circa 1000CE- possibly Liao.. I have repaired it with epoxy and 23k gold leaf (wabi sabi kintsugi). This is a high fired gray stoneware dipped in a white slip and then fired with translucent overglaze. Condition as is, attractive wood stand included. :11.8cm/4.7cm and D: 7.2cm/2.9in.

A beautifully decorated famille rose/verte hexagon shaped tazza with 5 different brightly coloured gold fish swimming in a hexagon shaped pond surrounded by water lilies, lotus and water plants. The underside of the tazza is decorated with iron red bamboo leave. The base of the tazza bears the four-character minyao reign mark of Tongzhi (1862-1874) and of the Qing Dynasty period.

The gold fish tazza is in good condition with no restoration...

Good size early 19th century boxwood netsuke of Gama sennin standing with one foot raised while his usual companion - a toad - is climbing onto his left shoulder - apparently much more rare version, as the creature usually seem to prefer the right one. Excellent depiction of sennin’s face with a touch of madness, flowing lines of his robe, leaf skirt and cape. Very cleverly done himotoshi (through the right sleeve to his back), old replacement to the top part of his staff...

Cute porcelain snuff bottle delicately carved in the shape of a smiling man sitting atop a pile of leaves, wearing a blue robe with gold flecks and creases and magenta bottoms, holding a peach, with a gourd bottle strapped around his back. The topper is carved from coral and resembles the cap of the gourd bottle. 19th century Size: 2.5" tall, .85" wide

Ancient Chinese Buddhist Stone Prayer Tablet - Song / Yuan Dynasty

This stone panel, sometimes described as a "prayer tablet", was excavated from a Buddhist site in Yunnan province in the South-West of China and dates to the 13th to 14th century, i.e. the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279), Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) or possibly the early Ming Dynasty...

Chinese Neolithic Xindian Culture Painted Pottery Jar

This rare pottery jar was made around 3,000 years ago by peoples of the Neolithic Xindian culture (c. 1200 - 500 BC). The Xindian culture is a relatively late Neolithic culture and overlaps with the Chinese Bronze Age. Xindian pottery is rarer and generally less refined, more coarse and brittle than pottery from some earlier Chinese Neolithic cultures. 

The lower body is quite wide and there is a tall neck ending with a flared mouth...

Late Meiji period (1890s 1912) Japanese lacquered kushi (hair comb) with gold lacquer and inlaid mother-of-pearl decoration of flowers and fans, design continuing on both sides. Nicely made, good work in Japanese taste, some losses to lacquer and inlays as seen on photos. Length 4 inches. Part of East Coast Japanese hair items collection.

Qianlong or Jiaqing period, late 1700s

Molded in the form of a sauce dish with an attached handle in the shape of a stylized dragon, this was an item of fairly high quality made for the Chinese market—not for export. It is covered with a thick imperial yellow glaze on the exterior and the interior is enameled in turquoise. It is raised on a tall foot of which the interior and base is clear glazed with a slight bluish tone...

A rare Japanese antique Sado Island Child's Kimono Tansu made of Kirinoki (Paulownia) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. Original natural Urushi wiped lacquer finish with hand forged iron hardware. The lock plates feature cranes and sea turtles that symbolize longevity and the drawer corners feature stylized clouds.

Children's kimono tansu are quite rare to find since they had to be custom made by the tansu maker...
