This is a rare and tattered tunobukuro bag textile made from old hemp and rags from the Meiji period (1868-1911). This is the bag you put the sweetfish in after you catch them. A rectangular stone stamp seal carved in a green stone. The seal is high unusual, since it depicts a whole bunch of people having great fun. They are skillfully done with lines and round heads; it looks like there a couple having sex and other humans applauding it, but it might just be my imagination(?).

A very fine mask of the esoteric "Nuo" theater, representing the character of Tudigong, the God of the Soil and of the Cereals, wearing an official cap, his face illuminated by a large smile. Wood, with traces of polychrome colors under the black coating. China, early 20th century. Height: 23.7 cm. The mask is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Very good condition.
