Cast bronze mirror holder representing a Ki-Lin. The fabulous Chinese animal is surrounded by sparks, it carries a cloud on its back which is used to hold a removable mirror, which has now disappeared. The unusually small dimension leads one to assume that this is a travel mirror holder? The animal is lying down and the sculptor has modeled an exaggeratedly wide hindquarters to give good stability to the whole...

Chinese Celadon Pottery Dish, 13th C. with five(5) firing marks on top of the dish, creamy Celadon cracked glaze with brown small area under the glaze, 4 3/8" diameter, 1 3/8" high. Some stains and scratches on the surface but no damages.

An early pale yellow-green mold blown bottle of mallet shape. The conical neck with two narrow rings at the top and a knop-like bulge at the bottom. At the shoulder of the bottle is a molded brown tinted circle. The bottle body is decorated with three raised circular reserves, each with a flower within, and surrounded by radiating leaves.
This very rare bottle has survived its long burial without damage...

Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Buddhist Pottery Zodiac Jar
This interesting pottery jar was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279), or possibly the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368) and has been been excavated from a Buddhist site in Yunnan province. It is made from a relatively highly-fired grey pottery. The reddish-brown surface colour is from the iron-rich burial soil.
Strips of clay have been applied to the outer wall to form six lotus leaves...
