Large Japanese antique oshi-e ningyo(doll), Kabuki samurai "aragoto" actor on stage: Matsumoto Oshi-e bina (hina ningyo in Oshi-e style) was originally made by the Samurai family who served in the Matsumoto Castle to supplement their income sometime in the mid Edo period (1603-1868). They became quite quite popular in the 1800s, 400 million dollars sale (in current currency) was recorded in 1888...

This porcelain service was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufacturer in 1918. They are marked with the red orb, blue scepter and iron cross markings. The pattern is known as Neuzierat. There are a total of 43 pieces. The set consists of an oval serving tray, coffee pot with lid, tea pot with lid, sugar bowl with lid, cream pitcher, and 12 sets of cups, saucers and dessert plates. Beautiful and unusual chest from China with a very interesting, highly figured hardwood with warm brownish tones. The chest is one solid piece with four drawers running along its top front and two sets of hinged doors on its bottom, with brass hinges and lockplates. An overall design of plum blossoms and buds on a rich blue background. The base and mouth are rimmed in silver. There is no maker’s mark, but similar works with generally the same pattern were produced by the artist Hayashi Tanigoro in the Taisho period, 1912-1926. Very good condition, having only a very small dent in the edge of the silver rim.

Antique Tibetan Buddhist ritualistic bone flute, or kangling. The kangling produces a wailing sound, meant to create a mystical atmosphere during tantric rituals. It is played as a gesture of fearlessness and as a way of cutting off the ego. With silver mounts intricately decorated with floral scrolls and inlaid with turquoise and coral.
