Exceptional George III Serpentine Chest of Drawers or Commode in the French Manner having a moulded edge serpentine top with overhanging sides above two over three conforming drawers, rounded front corners and bold bracket feet. The drawer sides and bottoms are mahogany which is unusual since it was the most expensive wood during the 18th Century. Brass pulls may be original, escutcheons replaced...

Unique Antique Indian bed from the Bastar area. Beautifully rustic solid teak wood. Carved details along the sides and head. Supported by large rounded teak posts. Very well hand-crafted, robust and strong original bastar bed. Late 19th century.

Size: 21" high (head) 15-17" high to platform x 47 1/2" long x 33 1/2" wide.

Cotton cloth with katazome pattern which is called "Narumi-Kongata", imitating Arimatsu-Narumi shibori pattern. It is called "Urumi-zome among craftspeople. It uses plural stencils and requires high dyeing technique. In good condition but has two mending patches for the cut which used to be the neck part and in one side of selvedges. The Meiji period (1868 to 1912). W:33cm, L:180cm

An Islamic seal in a terrific quality and extra large size, probably Persian, c. 17th.-18th. cent. AD or earlier!

Engraved with finely caligraphy, round seal base with a tall domed handle, pierced at the top.

A large 127 x 62.5 cm silk panel created from fabric originally intended for a chaofu court robe. The five-clawed dragons were created entirely from silk threads covered with gold foil, which couldn't be sewn through the fabric, so they were instead tacked down via a technique called 'couching'...

Beautiful antique Japanese Imari lidded baluster form vase containing intricate patterns of Chrysanthemums and peony flowers. This beautiful vase is of dark blue underglaze with gold, red and orange-red overglaze and underglazed foot. Flowers are painted in red, orange-red and highlights of gold. This is antique Indigo dye Stripe cotton sashiko boro noragi textile of the Meiji era(1868-1912). It is boro cotton and patchwork of very beautiful indigo dyeing. All this sashiko stitches are made by hand. I can enjoy it with the both sides. It is very rare textile. AN unusual signed and hallmarked Russian Transisional Art Nouveau Four Handle Urn 14”x 12”. The form in brass and copper hand hammered

A very fine Qing 18th century Yongzheng period blue and white large dish, rounded side with deep center and unglazed base, dish decorated fine under glaze blue of continous flower motif.
Dish is in very good condition no chip, no crack no restoration.

Unusual Burmese KAMMAVACA manuscript. Complete with the 16 leaves and 2 wooden covers. This late 19th century example is lacquer ON METAL. 50x10 cm approx. weight unpacked 2.2kg. There is some loss of lacquer on corners and on one leaf.

Japanese wooden inro with two compartments depicting a carp with horn eyes, finely carved. From the mouth comes the cord that crosses the agate ojime and reaches the boxwood netsuke which depicts the story of Oniwaka Maru, the future Benkei, and the giant carp. A light raku chawan displaying a mitsuba-aoi family crest pressed into the side which has been shattered and repaired with black lacquer mellowed slightly brown, then broken again and repaired with gold. An amazing amount of work to save the fragments. The bowl is 12.5 cm (5 inches) diameter6.5 cm (2-1/2 inches) tall and comes enclosed in an old Kiri-wood collectors’ box...

18th century Japanese iron sword kashira (metal pommel at the end of the hilt) with design of a dragon in flight. Wonderful work with brass inlays, great feel of age. Length 1.43 inches.
