A simple, four lobed armorer's tsuba with simple pierced decoration perhaps depicting a landscape with structure. The udenuki-ana (cord holes) have the effect of completing the illusion of a Sesshu-like landscape. The saotome were armorers turned tsuba makers who worked in this manner and scale. An antique Japanese Ikebana basket woven in a rope-like technique to create a classic design similar to a textured Macrame weave. The shape is an inverted cone with a splayed foot and flat weave. The wrapped handle creates a crescent-like opening and the body features a cross hatched undulating weaving design.

This is an fine Japanese Cloisonne Koro in nearly mint condition. It has been used and some of the smoke residue can be seen on the underside of the lid. There are no damages and virtually wear to the gold. The koro stands 4 1/4 inches tall and is 3 1/2 inches wide.

He has a long beard and curly hair with a necklace with horn pendants in the shape of a chrysanthemum on his back next to the engraved signature Washūjin Kōsen 和州人 光仙, under two large himotoshi.

Beautiful Rare and Unusual Tibetan cabinet with wonderful painted front panels of various beasts roaming grassy plains, some with piles of fruit around them, each panel has a red border with green swirl designs. The cabinet's frame is a lovely deep red hardwood, painted with flowers on creeping vines. Original finish and condition.

Unmarked, but likely Minton, soft paste porcelain covered sauce tureen "Feuille de choux" pattern with a rose finial. These knock-offs of 18th century Sevres were popular from the mid-19th century (c.1850)onward and Minton made many very good ones. With the lid it is 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) tall, 7 1/4 inches (18.4 cm) long, and 4 inches (10.2 cm) wide.
Condition: The lid has no damage and slight wear to the gilding on one edge...
