This antique traditional tribal dagger was made and used by the Manding people who are indigenous to the Western Sudan region of Africa. The dagger is 10 inches long and has a leather covered pommel. The blade is dulled and rusted with a small bend at the tip. The original matching scabbard has traditionally woven worked leather decoration with belt loop and tassel.

Roman figural terracotta oil lamp with single handle. The discus is framed by two concentric rings, in the middle is a high profile head of a woman or godess. Maker's mark on the bottom: MNOVIVSI. He was a lamp maker, known as M. Novius Justus, with a workshop situated in North Africa and produced oil lamps from 120 – 180 AD.

Mask of the "Nuo" esoteric theater representing the character of Heshang, the Buddhist monk, with very expressive features. The mask was carved on wood, then paper was affixed all over its surface, on which polychrome pigments were painted. China, early 19th century, probably earlier. Height: 9 13/16" (25 cm). The mask is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Paper partly flaked, and consequently the colors, otherwise very good condition.

Antique Chinese jadeite carving of a pair of peanuts with leaves and vines growing out of their top, and a small chimera crawling along the bottom with its legs and tails pointed upwards. Peanuts are called "huasheng" in Chinese, and are considered a lucky charm for those wishing to have many children as "sheng" means "giving birth". The top of the carving has a pierced hole to be hung from a toggle.

A charming limestone head of a youth. Depicted with a serene expression on his face, oval face with a rounded chin, his hair in thick luscious corkscrew curls brushed forward in short pointed locks. Arching brow above wide heavy-lidded almond shaped eyes with defined upper and lower lids, incised irises and sharp pupils, his fleshly lips above a strong chin.

This is a very fine early Japanese plique-a-jour bowl. The bowl measures 4 3/8 inches across and stands 2 1/4 inches tall. The bowl has two short lines in the yellow/red mums on the side that are hard to see. Look for them in the images. They can not be felt with a fingernail and are probably not all the way through. It is mounted with silver rims.
An early Qing saucer, it is in good condition no chip. no crack, no restoration except some glaze degradation and wear on rim. It is scholar table object de art, nice collection piece in any chinese or japanese art collection. Please enquire....
Very well potted dishes with a very good pale bluegreen Celadon colour. The colour of the left side piece still better then the already very good colour of the right side piece. Unfortunately my images are not able to show the real beauty of the colour.

Chinese woven Lacquered Reed Hat Box with lacquer decorated wide wooden band, with metal hinges, 12" high, 17" diameter, round dome top and bottom. Lacquered and painted design of Chinese lady carrying Lantern, and floral lacquer design on the wide wooden band. Metal hinges in front and back are somewhat loose and few metal buttons are missing. There are some normal wear and tear.

This bronze sculpture of a ram is rather heavy cast and has well-delineated features in both face and coat. It is in good condition and it has its original applied reddish-brown patina overall. No signature is present. This particular subject is not often seen among Japanese bronze sculptures, and it is likely from a set of twelve zodiac figures. A rather curious dish of moulded Kraak form decorated with a partially obscured Chinese four toed Dragon painted in underglaze cobalt blue with gilt outlined enamelled auspicious clouds framed by a band of stylised Chrysanthemum demi-florets.
