This is one of the 4 Huntley & Palmers "stack of books" biscuit tins. This tin is an appealing red and getting harder and harder to find in good condition. This one is beautiful.

I found this delightful tin box at an antique show in Reims, in the Champagne region of France. Circa 1920's, children used a box like this one to take their "gouter" or snack, to school. On the top there is an adorable image of a cat & a child running from a mischievous dog, and a small mouse appears on the side. Other than minor paint touch-ups to the child's leg (see photos) this box is in good shape. It measures approx 7" long x 3-1/2" wide x 2-3/4" high (5-1/2" to top of handle).
Have you ever seen this tin before? I hadn't. It's one of the rare tins. The top has been replaced. An excellent restoration. Otherwise, the condition is great. It dates to circa 1915.

For the budget minded couple a perfect choice would be this Art Deco platinum and diamond ring from the 1930’s. The ring is centered by an approximately 0.40Ct old-mine diamond that has J color and I1 clarity. The center stone is flanked on either side by three single-cut diamonds. The approximate total weight of all diamonds is 0.52Ct. We slashed the original price of $1200 in half to $600.
A great example of filigree work is this platinum estate ring centered by an approximately 0.45 Ct old-mine diamond and the center stone is flanked by four smaller diamonds.
