Description:

A spotted deer with high horns was an ancient ceramic toy.
Nicely squeezed and mold in shape and obtained the artistic interest.
Some similar pieces were found in Chinese documentation.

Offered is a complete Civil War Era traveling Doctor Medicine Case recently acquired from an estate in New Hampshire. A Jizhou tea bowl was rarely found in white glaze.
Two brush maneuvered characters Yue Xuan, or Moon Chamber were in the cavetto being a fine mood.
The bottom was mold in flat base when whitish body clay was revealed with brownish burial earth.
It was really rare to find a Jizhou ware in white glaze and also with inscriptions which in nice meaning on it.

Description:

A Jizhou bowl was characteristically yielded on the surface with striking kiln effects(Yaobian).
Transparent and in flowing look, the glaze was suffused with mix tints of milky brown blue and white colours.
The bowl was finely mold in typical Wan form when flat bottom with shallow foot ring was supported underside.
Frets were found around the mouth rim and old crackles were rendered in the glaze due to age.

Kendi, with rounded sides, bulbous spout and tall neck decorated outside with floral scroll and plantain leaves on the neck with metal mount, glazed base. PERIOD : Wanli (1573-1619 AD) MEASUREMENT : 23 cm height, 14 cm wide. CONDITION: the neck set with metal mount and small cip to the end of spout.

This small intricately carved stone shoes were probably given as a gift of well wishing. 3 inches in length, they were carved from unidentified soft stone, not hard jade. There are numerous cracks and chips from age, but the shoes retain their original carving detail.

Jar, with rounded sideds decorated outside with lotus scroll, Ru'i lappet on the shoulder and a band of small circles around the foot. Unglazed base. This is similar with the item on the Chinese Blue and White Ceramics by ST Yeo & Jean Martin, Southeast Asian Ceramic Society, 1978, page 116m plate 18. PERIOD : Early Ming (1400-1487 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 22 cm wide. CONDITION: restoration to the chip on the rim. No other damages issues.

Over the top extraordinary, large, long sterling and enamel screwback earrings by Margot De Taxco. Vibrant yellow and black enamel with center dots in green, red and pale purple that look like jewels. These measure 2 1/8" long and are 1" at the widest part. They are in fine original condition. There are no chips, cracks or flaws to the enamel and they have not been repaired. They are completely, simply spectacular.
