A set of five Meiji period dishes hand painted by Suzuki Hyakunen in commemoration of the Gosho-Nai Dai-Hakurankai (Exposition in the Imperial Palace, Kyoto) stamped on the underside with the event name and each individually signed by the artist. The literati scenes include a scholar contemplating a waterfall, Mountain retreat lost in rugged hills, sails on the lake, traveler in the hills and horses on the lakeshore under weeping willows...

An ornately styled and decorated vintage c1910-20 12-3/8" x 8" dresser tray with a glass base and real hand-made lace. This tray has a custard yellow mother-of-pearl style finish with gilding and staining around the ornate border. The glass tray sandwiches fine hand sewn lace with subtle pink and blue pastel highlights. Such an amazing find... circa 1880's, this Napoleon III child-size mannequin is covered in its original black silk/satin. Measuring approximately 44" high, it telescopes up on original black painted wooden stand. Body is 20" long, waist 20-1/2", hips 30", bust 25". Minor wear from age & use, one of the shoulder caps was repaired long ago & sticks out further than the other. Overall an incredibly rare & charming dress form.

Nicely designed with a bold look, this bangle features a molded, embossed surface of tiny rectangular bars scattered across a textured surface. The bracelet is unmarked; its sophistication and textured finish point to an Italian maker. It has a concave interior, and is quite sturdily made. Its dating would be around 1960-1970. The opening measures 2 ½ inches across; it has an interior circumference of about 8 inches. The bangle itself is ¼ inch wide. Weight: 34.8 grams

Entirely hand-wrought in a style that brings to mind early Matilde Poulat pieces this is a monumental, early Mexican Deco bracelet. Comprised of four curved links, it resembles a hinged bangle more than a link bracelet because it holds its shape firmly when you have it on - just like a bangle would. There is no way I could ever exaggerate the depth and complexity of its repousse - this is astonishing work, immaculately executed, having a patina that lends more drama and depth to it...

Rare 1940's hand forged brass hair ornament designed and signed by Taxco, Mexico artist Hubert Harmon. Harmon incorporates his signature hallmark of angel wings combined with turned up soles in this design. The thick brass wire base is formed into a Rubinesque female torso. Being penetrated as wall of holes for light going through, the scholar item was most favoured by literati for the natural mood.
It was reserved in very good condition by enduring old patina.
The under cover was an old restoration.
