A kyusu teapot with attrative, unctuous rust-orange highlighted opaque off-white Shino glaze. Two character artist's signature incised to the pottery body within a reserve in the glaze. Good condition save a miniscule flea bite to the flaze on the tip of the spout. Pot diameter about 5 1/4 inches. Cover diameter about 3 1/2 inches. Length including handle about 7 3/4 inches. Height to cover handle about 4 inches. 20th century.

Vintage Margot de Taxco Mexican silver necklace and earrings demi, this is a delicate, discretely feminine design and it's perfect for the hot days of summer. Extensive beading, a touch of oxidation, riveted links and a presence that though romantic is still visually strong characterize the set and make it one of my Margot favorites. Brilliant Louis Vuitton Shoe trunk fitted with compartments for 6 pairs of shoes, has 5 pillow spacers. The case is covered in the classic Monogramme fabric, and has brass hardware all in working condition. Sorry, there is no key with this case but one can easily be ordered from Louis Vuitton. Dimensions of the case are 23.75 inches (60 cm) Long, 14.245 inches (36 cm) Tall and 8.25 inches (21 cm) Deep. Circa 1980.

These Peruvian earrings are fascinating 3 dimensional works of art. The hand chasing is beautifully designed and the repousse has great dimension. The peacocks weigh 11.4 grams heavy and are .75 deep, 1.5 long,and 1 inch wide. Hallmarked as shown and they are sterling silver.

 

 

Spectacular early 20th c. Chinese bracelet wrought in silver with repousse prunus motifs floating over a three-part hinged frame. The large, scalloped central link is adorned with prong-set tumbled hard-stones and three carved ornaments; there is a coral prunus flower, what looks to my eyes like a bat (or could it be a butterfly?) and a half-moon turquoise...

Over the top extraordinary, large, long sterling and enamel screwback earrings by Margot De Taxco. Vibrant yellow and black enamel with center dots in green, red and pale purple that look like jewels. These measure 2 1/8" long and are 1" at the widest part. They are in fine original condition. There are no chips, cracks or flaws to the enamel and they have not been repaired. They are completely, simply spectacular.

Very early hand crafted sterling silver pin signed LOS CASTILLO TAXCO MEXICO STERLING. Pin measures 4 inches long and 2 inches wide. Antonio Castillo was the head of Los Castillo and was married to the woman who would come to be known as Margot De Taxco. She often designed pieces for Los Castillo before striking out on her own. Pin is in perfect condition as is the beveled mirror. This piece was very likely designed by Margot.
