A whimsical Bizen stoneware figural koro. A young man is depicted inebriated - sake barrel by his side (the hat cover and barrel form inokes the otherwise absent tanuki associated with sake and mischief.) The sake barrel holds the burning incense while a separate piece represents the boy's hat and forms the cover for the censer. The enjoyment of incense from the burner suggests the intoxicating qualities of imbibing. Late 19th to early 20th century. Good condition...

A ewer with an greyish-olive toned glaze that covers all but the foot and base. The mouth is trumpet-flared and the 3-lobed rim of the mouth is trimmed in silver (see photos). The grooved strap handle is typical of Song items .

Stunning, elegant and rare this sterling silver & turquoise necklace was designed & signed circa 1950's by Taxco, Mexico modernist artist Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). Necklace measures 17 wearable inches long X 1 inch wide at the center panel. Weight - 194 grams, 6.08 oz. The 13 "floating" stones are very closely matched in color and all are in beautiful condition as is the silver. Slide in clasp is tight and secure. This lovely 14Kt gold Victorian ring is centered by a 4 X 6 millimeter oval faceted amethyst set in a “crown like” setting. The shank is decorated on either side of the center. The ring is a size 5 ¾ and it can easily be sized.
Chinese Qing dynasty stem cup with everted rim decorated around the exterior of the cup with two faintly incised green five-clawed dragons chasing a flaming pearl set against an egg-yolk yellow background. A green phoenix is at the interior well. A six-character kaishu form underglaze blue Guangxu mark is at the bottom of the interior stem. A post Edwardian diamonds row engagement ring in 14k yellow and white gold circa 1910-15. This antique size 6-3/4 ring features three European cut diamonds (42 points total, SI1-2, G-H colour). Three stone rings became popular in the late 1900s, especially for engagement rings. The 3 stones in a row signified the phrase I Love You or Be My Bride. Storekeeper roly-poly tobacco tin, Red Indian Cut Plug Tobacco brand, by The American Tobacco Company. Early 20th century. Size: 7 inches height x 6 inches diameter. Very good condition, some minor paint loss and rust spotting (see photos). The lithograph decorated tin held one pound of tobacco and is in the form of a Store keeper wearing a blue jacket, black bow tie and smoking a pipe. Head lifts off as a cover. No dents.
