8 3/8" high Japanese treebark vase decorated on the front with a landscape motif. Tree-bark (Jitaisome Jippo) is a form of ceramic cloisonne in which the colors are done using lacquer rather than enamel. Using lacquer to cover the porcelain jar to resemble treebark, the wires are set into the lacquer to form the designs and the cells are filled with lacquer and polished. This lacquer is not fired. I would never have thought that the necklace presented here was not made in the 1930s or 1940s - design, construction, even the way it is hallmarked point in that direction. Yet it is later as indicated by the maker's registration code - I think it must have been made around 1980. Heavy clusters of bead and tube dangles adorn the central part of the necklace creating an impressive sense of abundance and luxury...
This thick, iconic Spratling design was handmade & signed in the early 1940's. The bracelet measures 3/4" high with an interior wearable length of 6 1/2" & weighs a hefty 87 grams. Excellent condition & patina. Fully hallmarked on the reverse. The bracelet is sometimes referred to as the XO design. A very rare Czech art pottery wall plaque designed by Karl Grossl in 1934 and stamped on the reverse FBS within a circle, Made In Czechoslovakia, and numbered 157-10P. Probably by the Keramia Company. Featured in Wondermasken book. The plaque is fashioned of terracotta and covered in a turquoise glaze. The relief female mask is in black with a colored rose. Size: 10" high x 10.5" wide. This is possibly a prototype as only 10 were made. Excellent condition...
We are offering a Hector Aguilar cuff with a weight of 70 grams. The height in front is 1in. and it spans 1 3/8th's inch at the swirls on the ends. It is currently a 1 inch gap and a 2.5in. diameter. The patina is quite warm and naturally rich. This bracelet can be made larger or smaller by a professional silver smith. No flaws and a pleasure to wear. Properly hallmarked as shown with Made in Mexico and sterling in the outside circle with the HA in it's center.

This elegant, hand wrought sterling silver necklace was designed and signed c. 1940's by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling. Measuring 20 1/2" long & 1 inch wide the necklace weighs 100 grams. A good Ming Wanli white on blue ground bottle vase, rounded side with silver mounted and glazed base, vase decorated with white on blue ground of Chi dragon at the upper part, flower and crane motif, rim covered with silver mounted.
Vase is in good condition with silver mounted at the rim, there is a hairline at the body which is already being covered with color spray, very rare motif with white on blue ground.

The pin is 18 k gold (tested). The wings are edged in 7 rose-cut diamonds each and his tail is tipped with more rose-cut diamonds. He holds an Old English cut diamond in his beak. The pin is 1 3/8” X 1 ¼”. It has an early-style safety catch. The hinge is a replacement. There are no marks. Circa 1900.
