Hagen-Renaker Owl with applied orange and black eyes, I believe this is model A065. Owl is wonderfully detailed with beak and "moustache". Painted tawny brown, with black stripes on the back, stipling on the back simulates feather texture. Owl measures 7 1/4 inches tall, 5 inches wide and 4 inches deep. No cracks, chips or repairs. Does have some surface dirt, I did not wash him for fear of damaging his label. Marked only with black and gold foil label on back.

A lot of flash! This brooch measures 4 1/4 inches long by 3 1/4 inches wide. Large, prong-set square and rectangular red unfoiled stones, with clear round rhinestones single and pave set, in a rhodium plated setting. The pin is strong and locks securely. Pin marked with a single script 'E' (for Eisenberg?) on the back. All stones are clear but a couple of the larger stones do have scratches.

A very rare Czech art pottery wall plaque designed by Karl Grossl in 1934 and stamped on the reverse FBS within a circle, Made In Czechoslovakia, and numbered 157-10P. Wonderful Chanel brooch from the 1930's. It is in excellent condition. There are five enamel flowers with leaves (the white one faces sideways), and the center and the perimeter of the bow are studded with clear, sparkling, tiny rhinestones. The metal back is silver color. Chanel in script is on the center back. 3 1/4" wide, 1 3/4" high. Quite chunky.
Fabulous and festive, these Vrba drop earrings are show stoppers! Composed of an amethyst glass stone as the centerpiece, it is surrounded by faux pearls a smoky topaz rhinestones set in gold plated metal. Oval signature plate on the back of each earring marked Lawrence Vrba. They are 3 1/2" top of clip to bottom of dangle. Dangle is 2" wide.
This old Japanese hook would have been suspended over the hearth and used to hang cooking pots over the fire. Obviously carved by the original owner/user, this pothook or jizai kagi is heavily grooved from many years of use. The attached rope is probably a replacement to the original rope. It has been knotted into place for some years and I decided not to attempt to remove it.

This style of Rattan helmet was worn by all foot soldiers during the Qing Dynasty. This helmet retains traces of its original painted symbols, no longer readable, it is presumed that they indicated specific troop or brigade to which the owner belonged.
Description: An elegant porcelain water basin was in light celadon tint.
In a rolled lip, shallow belly and flat but well shaped foot ring, the water basin had a beautiful image with strong scholar mood. Natural ice cracks were yielded under the glaze at the bottom of the basin when one minor glaze burst had happened in the cavetto due to firing. Brownish finish was preserved at the foot ring. Early William III Britannia standard silver trefid tablespoon, London, 1699, by silversmith Francis Archbold, length 7.25 inches. The shallow bowl gilded on the interior and with a double ribbed and beaded rat tail. The upturned handle's terminal is cut with two notches. Hallmarks are quite well struck apart from the date letter which is worn but still legible. The higher Britannia silver standard of 95.84% was introduced in 1697 but is rarely found after 1730. Used by Tibetan Buddhist Monks and Priests, this old prayer wheel is adorned with an ornate silk fringed top. The copper barrel has a narrow silver collar with 3 coral beads and a traditional design is pressed into the silver bottom. The heavy lead weight will keep the prayer wheel spinning smoothly atop the hand hewn wooden handle. This prayer wheel is approximately 12 inches long.
