Obviously these two masks from the Nuo theater belong to the minorities of southern China. They constitute a set probably designed simultaneously by the same artist. One of the masks represents the monk Heshang and the second represents the jester Quintong. These masks date from at least the middle of the 20th century, that is to say about a hundred years. This is a wonderful and rare French Napoleon the third Rocking Horse. It was made circa 1880. The same cast iron head was used on Tricycle model as well. Unique to this style is the fact that it has retractable wheels that allow for a Rocking/Rolling horse. Very Cool! Obviously well loved and often repaired, this provenance adds to the patina and charm. Truly a lovely piece approx 3 feet long by 28 inches tall

Hallmarked with Bernice Goodspeed's initial B and an unexpected style for one of the Women of Taxco to produce. These stones are stunning and have warmed over time. The necklace is 19in. long and .75in. at it's widest point. The drop with a Victorian style is 2.25in. tall. The silhouette is rich and this is very thick silver displaying quality through and through. Sometimes less is more, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Handmade sterling and rosewood crescent necklace designed(c.1940's) by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling(1900-67). Comprised of 4 1/2"L X 1 1/2"W pendant accented with thick sterling wire wraps. The strong distinctive 12 1/2" chain fastens on one side with a snap back clasp. The wearable length of the necklace is 17 inches. Condition is excellent with normal surface wear to the wood. Wonderful champagne ice bucket, or "seau" circa 1950's/60's, from France. To advertise their product, champagne houses would give these buckets to restaurants as a point of sale item, they were not sold. This bucket was never circulated - it is NOS (new old stock). Marked "Montebello" in enamel, "Champange" & "Chateau de Mareuil s/Ay." Nice rolled handles. Chrome over brass; measures 8" tall 7-3/4" across.
