This is a large and beautiful Song dynasty meiping or plum vase of baluster shape, the sides rising upwards from a slightly recessed base, curving in towards the stepped shoulder and surmounted by a short straight neck with what looks like a double ring. Japanese shin hanga woodblock print titled "Mt. Fuji From Mizukubo at Evening" by Takahashi Shotei, also known as Hiroaki (1871-1945). Originally published by Watanabe in 1936, this is a post-World War II edition. The artist's black ink signature and red seal are at the lower left. Aguilar uses turquoise cabs in this unusual example of his braided wire bracelet which is most often seen with silver domes at the bracelet's ends. Also unusual is the petite size of the cuff. The inside measures 4 3/4" end to end with a one inch gap opening. It is 3/8" wide at the center front and 3/4" high at the turquoise cabs. Stunning, elegant sterling and turquoise necklace by Navajo Kenneth Begay. The necklace will fit up to a 15" neck. The amazing side scrolling panels measure 5"long and are 1 3/4" wide at the bottoms. The middle section with the turquoise measures 1 1/2" long with the stone being 7/8". All three sections move and form and curve comfortably on the neck. A Matched Set of Four George II Silver Open Salts by David Hennell I, Founder of the Hennell Dynasty of Silversmiths. The Set was assayed in London in 1760. The dimensions are 2 3/4" across and 1 1/2" high. They stand on three cabriole legs and weigh a total of 9 Troy ounces. There is a small crest in the front of each. Excellent condition.
An unusual chato (tea room sword) in the shape of an octopus, its 8 legs stretched out in uniform with one curled back exposing the suckers. Eyes are intimated on one side, with an old chip where the breathing hole is opposite. About the neck is wrapped a faded silk chord. It is 22 inches (56 cm) long. It is said that these wooden swords were produced from the mid to late Edo period, in lieu of swords for those not allowed to carry weapons (all but samurai)...

Intricately hand wrought in sterling silver, this vintage 1950's Matl pin measures 3" X 2 1/4". This is a wonderful sterling and enamel Art Deco design bracelet and matching earrings by Margot De Taxco. The bracelet is 7 1/2" around in the inside and the round links are 1 1/8" wide. The matching clip back earrings are 1 1/8" diameter. All pieces are in fine original condition. There is no enamel loss. Signed as shown. A terrific and rare set.
