Iconic hand wrought sterling silver "Old Maguey" necklace designed & signed by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar (1905-86). Necklace has a wearable length of up to 19 inches. Center portion measures 7" across & 1 3/4" high at widest point. Weight 122 grams, 4.3 oz. Beautiful condition with no issues. Fully hallmarked on the clasp TAXCO 940 HA dating the piece to 1940-48. What a fabulous Los Castillo double swirl fish bracelet very early design number 106. The repousse is masterfully worked and displays bubbles and ribbons of waves. This matches the necklace already listed and is in superb condition. It is hallmarked correctly as shown with a double strike. It is 7.25in. long with a hefty weight of 78 grams. From the tallest point it is 1.75in. tall. The patina is dark and natural. This is a rare piece and is simply THE BEST.
Large Chinese Ming Dynasty Enamelled Porcelain Bowl
This attractive porcelain bowl was made during the Wanli Reign (1573 - 1620) of the Ming Dynasty. This type of porcelain is referred to as "Swatow" or "Zhangzhou" ware and was often exported to the South East Asian market. The outer wall has been decorated with a scrolling floral pattern in red and green enamels, the inner centre more simply decorated with a floral motif and two red rings...
Kokeshi, wooden folk toy of NE Japan. Height: 17". This is an example of the "Naruko-kei" tradition of Miyagi Prefecture. The artisan was Moriya Kazuo, who was born on Septemeber 4th, 1928 (Showa 3.) A really nice, old bronze Shishi sculpture. It works well enough as a free standing figure and we cannot be certain it wasn't intended as such. The bottom has a single 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) diameter opening and another opening being the beast's mouth. The party we acquired from described it as an incense burner. Perhaps it could have been the cover of a censer - the opening in the bottom allowing smoke to escape from the mouth...
A small Nabeshima plate or bowl decorated with three stylized chrysanthemun medaillons among radial motifs. The back showing the "shippo" pattern with ribbons and foot ring with comb pattern in underglaze blue. Condition: fine, minimal wear, no restorations, hairlines or chips. Dimension: diameter: c. 15.5 cm, 3.5 cm high.
Rare Chinese Neolithic Banpo Cord-Impressed Pottery Amphora (Published)
This rather archaic looking pottery amphora was made over 6,000 years ago during the Banpo phase (c. 4800 - 4300 BC) of the Yangshao culture in present-day Shaanxi province. It is particularly heavily-potted and that has, no doubt, contributed greatly to its survival in almost perfect condition...
Rare original vintage sterling necklace designed by Nanna & Jorgen Ditzel for Georg Jensen Denmark c.1954. Each link is a double disc and the seamless closure provides a continuous look on the neck. It is design no. 124 and measures 16 1/2" end to end and is 1/2" wide. Weighing 135 grams it is in fine original condition and signed as shown. Gorgeous in every way. A true find for any Jensen collector.
Diamond-shaped pieces of green chalcedony are set in hand-formed wide prongs. The stones are nicely polished and in excellent condition. The screw backs are original to the earrings and in good working order. They are marked sterling and bear the maker’s mark of Richard Reinhardt (1921-1998), a modernist studio jeweler from the Philadelphia area...
A nice old Chinese tea holder made of bamboo, carved with a bird in flight and mountain scene. The back has beautifully incised calligraphy of a poem.

Absolutely stunning is this old before 1948 Mexico Silver necklace. The stones are a deep purple amethyst with milky streaks. There are repousse balls disbursed through out on the links and the pectoral. The entire piece is hand chased defining the design. The silver drop is 3.5in. across by 3in. tall. The weight is 64 grams heavy with the silver drop being quite thick. No dents or cracks or damage of any kind. This is collector quality and a very rare design just, LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!
