Very sophisticated Shino chawan by Japanese artist Ko Ji Nakamura. It has a rarely seen Shino glaze of light pink, grey and blue color, designed with plum blossoms. A really aesthetic bowl which fits the palm of the hands perfectly.

This chawan was made around 30 years ago and is well balanced. The seal of his potter name (Kozan-gama) is stamped on the bottom.

It is is perfect condition. No chips or cracks.

Decidedly modern, Japanese, and minimalist; the textures, colors, and form of this fascinating tea bowl all suggest inspiration from natural objects. The grey, smooth, polished interior of the tea bowl contrasts nicely with the textured ferrous dark ochre ash glaze on the exterior. Somewhere between an ido and wan-nari shape, it rests surprisingly well in the hand and allows the user to contemplate the mysteries of nature through their tactile and visual senses.

An amazing Oribe Tsubo covered in thick emerald glaze by Yamaguchi Makoto enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Oribe Kaki and date to 2019. The undulating rim calls to mind ancient firing traditions, the intense heat of the kiln warping the forms as they turn near molten. Nothing I can say can convey the rugged beauty locked up of this Shino chawan, made in 2015, signed and enclosed in the original signed wooden box. Matsuzaki Ken is one of the most important potters of our time.

Robust, medieval styled mizusashi by veteran Shigaraki potter; Furutani Churoku IV (b. 1922). This face of this large mizusashi is covered in a wonderful layer of green ash and the back exhibits very fine hi-iro fire color. The base shows three areas where the pot was wadded during the firing and it is prominently signed; CHUROKU.

It should be noted, that currently his tea pieces sell for between 250,000 and 450,000 yen in galleries.
