A Finely carved lacquered teak wood puppet head.
The head was covered with dark orange color and then lacquered with golden lacquer.

This head was part of a puppet representing nature spirit.

The condition is excellent...
Little stockinette black doll with button eyes and embroidered nose and mouth. Her mouth is again the straight line across, (what I call a neutral statement), with white embroidered teeth. (I think if I made a cloth doll I would make the doll smiling but so many both black and white dolls have the straight line, I find it interesting.)
She has on an old red and white cotton dress that fits nicely but I am sure is not original. She is cotton stuffed and not so firm that she can sit easily...
From early 1880th. century comes this rare to find French Doll all wooden walker which has generally excellent condition .

This rare walker is made of mapel wood with fine carved 4 piece legs attached to similar wooden struts. With wooden wheels simple to move and a waist ring at top to hold your doll sefely .

This all handsewn little linen doll has the most unusual and expressive embroidered face. A rectangle shaped mouth, fine little stitches for eyes and pupils, curvy stitches for ears and dash lines for hair, all in red floss thread. Jointed arms at shoulders and elbows, and same for the legs, at knees and hips all stuffed fairly firmly with cotton. Not original but nice, she is wearing a calico pink and red skirt, over a pair of pantaloons, with a red blouse on her top...
Very nice Beecher doll by a cottage industry in Elmira NY missionary group from 1893 to 1910. They followed a pattern but each doll is just a little different as the sewing was a group project.. This one has been recovered with black fabric over the original brown fabric. The brown fabric was not that sturdy and is often in fragile condition. She is wearing a red calico dress but probably not original. She is 20" tall
Big, heavy rag stuffed cloth doll has big old hands with fingers and thumbs, a great old blue and tan striped ticking body and is just all American through and through. Her big wide open face has button eyes, a couple of stitches for a nose and a straight floss sewn mouth that goes up at the corners for a hint of a smile. I am bet she has had many dresses in her day, but this nice old white and blue calico dress fits her nicely...
From a private house at south of France we receives a special nice miniature doll stove in country shape included his lovely lot´s of enamel cookware and some accessory .... just as its previous owner got it as a child...
This highly desirable bisque headed doll was made by the famed German doll making firm JD Kestner. It is model 171 which came in several sizes, of which we believe this is the largest, made c. 1900. Although I measure it nearly 30 inches, some give its height as 28-30 inches. With its considerable height, we consider it a natural for certain decorating themes and scenarios - and its great age is no liability. Additional pluses are the clothes period appropriate or sympathetic with the character ...
Bottle dolls are usually made to be a doorstops but this little all original girl would maybe be used as a paper weight in its day. She has a lovely embroidered face, a mop hat, a shoulder scarf and flat arms with flat little hands and an apron over an old calico skirt. The sand filled bottle is covered with the original red sock. She is just 8" tall and is sweet as they come. C. 1910-20
In this wonderful, finely embroidered face, black doll you can see fatigue. It makes me wonder just who did make this very fine cloth doll. She is wearing a calico skirt under a work apron, with a blouse and a shoulder scarf. On her feet are hand sewn fabric boots. She is jointed, stuffed firmly with cotton, is holding a baby wearing a bonnet and a bow. The baby has a stump body wrapped with fabric and doesn't appear to be something you take out of her arms.
This is a very nice early black clot...
