Very early black cloth doll with embroidered face, raised nose, wool fabric for hair, and dressed in original blue calico roller print pants, an early brown wool vest, (so great even though it has some damage), and the collar around his neck that is all that is left from his dress shirt. His arms maybe an early replacement. He is 14" tall and C. 1870.
His face is mottled color but no damage to the fabric, maybe the early dyed fabric reacted to sun over the years.

Talk about an hour glass figure, this one is an exaggeration, you can see she has been carried around gripped at the waist and I little hand could have gone around her easily. She is heavy and stuffed with rags. She has a suggestion of facial features. Her dress is hand sewn and not by a skilled dressmaker, it is very endearing and fits her really well...

Baby is a big heavy plump doll, all original body and painted face. She has on a dress that fits perfectly but probably isn't original. Her face is worn a little but no damage, maybe it has darkened with age?
I think she is the best baby. Nice defined fingers and separate thumbs. She has lost a lot of stuffing in her arms, I don't know how, and her legs have black stockings sewn on but everything feels right and original

A very folky early rag doll with pencil face and a touch of blue in her eyes. Every thing is sewn on her and I do believe it has been that way a long time if not original. She has a little square head and no neck and straight across shoulders and short little arms, just the cutest! She has wide hips and hinged arms and legs. Her head is a little floppy front to back but a ribbon tied around her neck I think would remedy that. She is stuffed with cotton and rags and is quite heavy...
This is a sweet faced little cloth doll with a pinched raised nose, button eyes, feather stitched eyebrows and pink floss mouth. I think she was a white doll first and covered about 1910 with black sateen, see picture of her legs. She has a sturdy body, simple arms and legs that do bend for sitting. She has on a blue calico dress, a red white and blue patriotic skirt over it and sewn on red felt boots that are quite remarkable. She is 16" tall and is circa 1890...
Maybe you are like a lot of women, some days you wake up and feel pretty good then you look in the mirror and say, boy looks like I could use another 8 or 10 hours of sleep. Well this doll doesn't have to worry about that. She can be as beautiful or as rough around the edges as the day produces and we are never going to know it. Here is a doll that has a very pleasing face, nice blue eyes, sepia ink drawn nose and mouth but quite fadedwith a touch of pink on her mouth. She has unkept brown yarn hair, a antique pink dress that suits her personality perfectly. She is cotton stuffed, all hand sewn including stitched defined fingers. She is jointed at her hips and shoulders, so she sits nicely. The string tied on her as a harness is useful and I put it there, to hang her on a wall rather than have her sitting on a shelf...
