Very nice 14 karat yellow and rose gold brooch in the Retro Modern style, set with a single deeply lustrous 4.5mm pearl. The circle is rose gold, and the leaves are a slightly green-tinted yellow gold. The interplay of gold colors is a signature of period Retro Modern jewelry. The back is marked by the jeweller, A. J. Very unusual retro cabochon emerald ring in a 14k rose gold setting. The very large emerald is approximately 8 carats and is UNEVEN at the top of the stone and has many inclusions. The setting is made of curled rose gold wire at each side which appealingly brings the eye to the stone. The emerald rises 3/8" above the setting and is 5/8" long. Lovely 14K yellow gold Retro Modern brooch set with blue sapphires and diamond. The wreath-like form of this pin is very unusual, and is especially effective when placed against dark fabric.
