Circa 1860 natural shell inlaid with gold and silver. Extremely tiny handiwork that seems to be a completely lost art. This cross is carved into a beautiful scalloped shape and has a floral motif inlaid on the top. It measures approximately 1.5" long and 1" across. The shell is 3/16" thick. It has a simple bail and we have strung it on a beautiful two-sided ribbon. It is in excellent condition with no chips in the shell and no metal work missing.

A spectacularly fine, museum-quality Victorian figural watch fob worked in 18K yellow gold and platinum depicting Aesop's fable "The Fox and the Grapes." The seal shows the fox's head, jaws agape, straining to reach a juicy cluster of grapes that are just barely out of reach. Every tiny detail of the fox's fur, teeth, tongue is beautifully worked, as are the leaves and distinct individual berries making up each cluster of grapes...

A large splendid mid-19th century 14K hand made brooch with a central large claw-set genuine pearl. This 2-3/8" x 1-3/4" brooch has very finely hand engraved and stippled leaves with superb detail with a fine 7.2 mm pearl in the center. A fine pair of Victorian 18K yellow gold tassel earrings. The foxtail chains are suspended from bell-shaped surmounts with bands of engraved decoration and applied flowers worked in rose and green gold. Each foxtail chain ends in a small gold sphere. The earrings have an elegant look, without being too heavy for comfortable wear. The surmounts are marked with French “tete d’aigle” hallmarks for 18K gold.

Wide antique hinged bangle in genuine tortoise shell, with gold mountings and a gold slide clasp. Late 19th century. Not marked but the metal tests positive for 14KT gold with jeweler's acid.
