A dramatic sterling silver cuff bracelet of Precolumbian influence, featuing double birds with long, curling tails. The background is deeply oxidized, with a raised decoration; there are a few small areas of loss to the oxidation on one side. The inside of the cuff exhibits a circular mark of Sterling Taxco enclosing the initials LC, the number 148 and eagle 3. The cuff has a 7-inch internal circumference, with a 1 3/16-inch gap; it is 2 ¼ inches at its widest area. Weight: 58.9 grams

A long sterling silver modernist pendant by Tane, Mexico with the 26" original chain. Tane was known as 'The Tiffany of Mexico.'

This pendant measures 4" long and 2 1/4" at the widest. Marked TANE, Sterling, Mexico and with an 'A' inside a triangle, probably for the silversmith.

The chain has Tane's unusual interlocking clasp which holds securely.

The pendant has some surface scratches, tarnish and shows some wear. Weighs 50gr.

I love to find these rare pieces made by unknown makers. This one is exceptional. The size of the center link is 2.5 inches. There is a wearable length of 19 inches. All other links and earrings are 1.5 inches long. No chips or cracks to the stones and no dents to the silver. The lock is hidden under a link showing a well thought out design.
