Deeply carved so as to represent folds in a fancy bow tie the green agate in this big Mexican Deco brooch has beautiful color variation and is pleasantly "soft" to the touch. The substantial stone is generously backed in silver and held in place with sturdy, hand-wrought prongs. This is a lovely 3-piece suite of earrings and a brooch, circa 1940's. The earrings and brooch have 3 layers of petals / leaves. The top of each one surrounds the turquoise stone. The earrings are screwback and measure 1/4" x 1/4" (x 1/2" high, from the lowest petal to the top of the stone). Each earring is marked SILVER MEXICO. The brooch displays 6 smaller stones with the same floral design with the top petals enveloping the stones. It measures 1 5/8" x 3/8" (x 1/4") and marked STERLING.

A vintage sterling silver parure by Margot de Taxco, (Margot Van Voorhies Carr), design number 5127, in a classic design.

Necklace measures 15 3/4" long with the central pendant measuring 1 1/2" high and 2 1/2" across. The central pendant can be detached and worn as a brooch. The pin part is missing and would have to be replaced. The part of the catch that swings over to hold the pin in place is also missing. The necklace has a box clasp that holds securely.

These interesting turquoise and sterling silver earrings were made in Mexico. The clover shape looks like three hearts with a stem, with the turquoise inlay separated by the sterling silver. The back of one of the screwbacks is marked HECHO EN MEXICO 925 (of which only HECHO EN M and 9 are legible). They also have the maker's initials: a curved BEH, of which the H is not fully stamped. These earrings measure 1" x 3/4". The patina is great as are the turquoise colors.

Substantial and quite unusual in its design this modernist Mexican silver bracelet is an Enrique Ledesma creation and it is adorned with two faceted color-change sapphires. This great brooch / pin / pendant has a diameter of 1 1/2". It is slightly convex. The turquoise stone is inlaid (not enamel), very nicely. The back is marked TAXCO 925 STERLING (blurry) in a circle with very blurry initials of silversmith in the middle. The eagle assay mark is number 3, very lightly stamped.

This piece has a diameter of 1 7/8". The front has a great Aztec design. The back is marked HECHO EN MEXICO, STERLING 925, with assay 28 (stamping is blurry). The front is in excellent condition. The back shows some surface scratches.
